Garnier Skin Micellar Cleansing Water | Review

Hi, Lovelies, I just love makeup and makeup is one of the biggest reasons I started blogging in the first place. Lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes are my biggest loves and I would say I wear makeup most days so for me I want a makeup remover that is not only gentle and kind on my skin but also affordable. I did love nip and fabs kale fix makeup remover pads which cost £12.95 for 60 pads but I want to make my money stretch a little further if possible so I got this Garnier Micellar water which is 400ml and 200 uses which is a huge difference, now I am not saying if its any better at this point because sometimes it worth paying the extra.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing water review
 So what is micellar water?
I had no flipping clue what it was a few years back but when I looked into it I soon realised why lots of beauty bloggers rave about this. Basically, micellar water is a simple way of cleansing and removing makeup from the skin in one gentle step. It acts like magnets and cleansing agents capture and lift dirt from the skin in one swift and effective step.

How do you use it?
The best thing about Garnier Micellar water is that it is multi-use so you can use it to remove makeup from your eyes, lips and face without the need of any other makeup removing product.

My favourite way to use this is to simply pour a small amount of product onto a cotton pad and gently remove the makeup from my face. It takes 2 cotton pads to take all my makeup off as I like to use a separate one for my eyes as I tend to wear a lot of eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara.

Unlike a few makeup removing products on the market, you don't need to remove it once you have finished taking off makeup or simply wanting to refresh your skin. It has no scent and feels very soothing and hydrating on the skin.
Garner Micellar water review
I have had this micellar water for a couple of months now and its still going strong and I have just under half left which is brilliant for the number of times I wear makeup and the fact I accidentally split some too. I can say the claims on the bottle are true and I would 100% buy it again because it's a brilliant bargain product. My skin doesn't feel dry after using it and if anything it feels more hydrated then it would normally if I just used a makeup removing wipe for an example.

My skin can be rather sensitive at times so I was a little worried when I got this because they have sensitive versions but I need not of worried personally as it was very gentle on my skin and It was kinda relaxing taking my makeup off, rather than feeling like a chore.

I love the fact you can buy various sizes of this product and they are also versions for sensitive skin, combination and sensitive skin and also an oil infused micellar water.

This micellar water is available in many supermarkets, drugstores and also online, it's quite easy to find. If you would like to know more about product check out the Garnier website

Have you tried Garnier Micellar water before?

Benefit Badgal Bang Mascara | Review

benefit badgal bang review
The buzz for this mascara has been going on for a while now and lots of beauty fans have been excited to try this including me. Benefit has many amazing products including a few mascaras in their range such as Rollerlash and Badgal mascara.

Now this mascara claims to do everything in the book including; volume, length and lift - a lot of things for one product. On the box, it says 36-hour lift which sounds a bit dramatic to say the least but you know best try out beforehand. It also says its weightless formula made with aero-particles and the wand is lightweight and very flexible.

Are you ready for lift off?
benefit badgal bang
I honestly couldn't wait for this mascara to come out that I saved my look fantastic points so I could get money off to try it. I bought it and I got a free makeup bag with it, doesn't it look gorgeous? Anyways when my mascara came I was pretty impressed with the packaging, it's black and pink with a fabulous out of space design.

Applying this was a breeze with the flexible wand but for me personally, it just made my lashes look more clumped than anything which is quite disappointing since it costs over £20! Now I can't lie it did add a little bit of volume but nothing dramatic like the way it been boasted about on the packaging. Another thing I noticed is that it did flake a little after a long days wear which wasn't very comfortable to say the slightest.
benefit badgal bang review
Now it may sound like I don't like this mascara but I do like it in a way but it's definitely not replacing my favourites. You can definitely see the difference once applied and it is weightless but for me, it's not up to expectations, now I know many will disagree with me with this because we all have different favourites.

Below is a picture of my left eye with Badgal Bang and my other eye with no mascara and you can definitely see the difference and you can see that it works to some extent but the clumps aren't the eaiset to work with and I have used this a few times after this.

Benefit Badgal Bang is £21.50 for full size and £10.50 for the min

I hope you all enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed posting it. I will definitely be trying more Benefit products in the near future, what are favourites/suggestions?

Molton Brown Rosa Absolute Bath and Shower Gel | Review

Hello, lovelies! I don't know what it is about baths but I just enjoy taking one at least once a week ( I shower the other days) I usually use Lush products but it's nice to have a change every now and again. I got this Molton Brown Shower and Bath Gel for Christmas off one my family members which were a lovely surprise because I have been wanting to try this brand for ages! I just love the shop and their products; especially the skincare and the candles.

Who is Molton brown?
Molton Brown is based in England and has been making luxury products since 1973. Each ingredient is expertly blended with care, skill and years of experience. They have products for both men and women including skincare and haircare. I really want to try their Russian leather candle in the near future as it smells lovely.
molten brown rosa absolute bath and shower gel review
When I opened this on Christmas day I was pleasantly surprised because Molton Brown products have been on my wishlist for a while. The first time I tried them was when I went to one of their shops because I was drawn in by the scents that came out the front door. The first thing I went to was the candles but I soon discovered more fragrance delights the made my nose feel like it was smelly heaven, love this shop.

The bottle is quite big and holds 300ml of product. The bottle is very nicely made with the lovely emblem on the front and all the info you need to know on the back. The lid is a push down clickable lid which you simply click open when needed and once finished just simply shut the lid. The bottle is actually clear and the product inside is actually a red gel.

Now honestly the fragrance of this product is just divine it is blended with Italian rose oil, blackcurrant and patchouli which gives Rosa absolute the most beautiful floral scent ( I honestly think it smells nicer than Lush's Rose Jam and I love that shower gel!).
molton brown rosa absolute
I have tried Rosa absolute bath and shower gel in both the bath and also in the shower. I love this product both ways but in my personal opinion it has that extra edge in the shower and the reason for that is because in the bath it doesn't have many bubbles ( but it does smell amazing) but in the shower and you apply it to a shower puff it actually makes so much lather and a little bit of this product goes a very long way without the need for loads of product.

The gel is very thick so you don't need much product when you use it which is great considering this has a bit of an expensive price tag.

Even though this costs £20 a bottle I can definitely smell the quality of the product and it has also made my skin feel so much softer after using it for over a month now. I will be treating myself to this again in future because of its just one of those products that make me feel good.

Nutrivitality Boost | Review

Hello lovelies, it been over a week since my last blog post but here I am back again with a new blog layout and fresh lookout for my blog.

I was kindly sent these Nutriviality boost sachets to review which is brilliant because I want a healthier way to be less tired and fatigued without the need of my good friend coffee all of the time ( honestly I could drink 4-5 cups a day) 👀 NutriProtect liposomal technology is designed to deliver 8x more nutrients and vitamins to your body compared to traditional tablets.
Nutrivitality Boost
Inside each, the box contains 30 sachets of boost and you basically take them once a day preferably on an empty stomach; I usually had mine before breakfast, that way I would remember to take it because I am so unreliable at remembering sometimes.

You can drink it alone are adding it to a cold drink but I like taking it on its own because it's much easier to take that way in my opinion. The taste is a little weird at first but the aftertaste is very pleasant and has a slight taste of raspberry which is just yummy. I actually got to a point in which I couldn't wait to get up and take these.

These are meant to reduce fatigue and tiredness as they contain lots of vitamins which are a much more reliable than lots of coffee as they have more nutritional value. They also promote healthy hair, skin and nails.   below are the ingredients of the boost sachets.

Ingredients: Purified water, Phosphatidylcholine (Soy Lecithin), Sodium Ascorbate, Stabiliser: Propylene Glycol Alginate, Vitamin B3, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate, Sweetener: Sucralose, Natural Raspberry Flavouring, Vitamins: B5, B2, B6, B1, B9, B7, B12.  For allergens see ingredients in bold.  Product may contain traces of nuts.

nutrivitality boost review
I and my partner have now used up all of the sachets up and we honestly couldn't be more happy with them. For me, I reduced the amount of coffee I was drinking and I ended up only drinking 1 or maybe 2 cups because I like it rather than actually needing it because of tiredness. I felt like I could do more with these and I would definitely be repurchasing these in the future because they work so well.

My partner took one of these just before he went to work in the morning and he felt more productive at work and much less tired and less likely to run to the coffee machine or the vending machines. We both loth that they are liquid because we both honestly hate taking tablets, its a nightmare taking paracetamol for me when I'm in pain because I find them horrible lol.
nutrivitality boost
I cannot praise these enough and I would 100% be happy to include them in my routine. At the moment Nutrivitality has a trial price of £14.99 then £25 every 4 weeks with free P&P!

They also have other products including Immune support and Clear vision.

Want more info?
Check out their website.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation and Concealer | Review

Hello darlings, I hope you are all well?  Over the years I have tried a variety of different foundations and concealers but I always seem to keep coming back to my old favourites of mine Boujois Healthy Mix. I first discovered the brand Bourjois way back when I was 15 and I just loved the lipgloss and eyeshadows back then; fast forward to age 19 I tried their concealer with the foundation and I fell in love, It was was premium quality and I like paying less for a good product.

Its been a while since I last bought Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation and concealer and since then they have changed the packaging a little bit and also the formula of the product. Seeing as they changed it a little I wanted to see if I love it as much now as I have done over the years.
bourjois healthy mix
The first thing I noticed about them both of them is wow they are very fragranced! I am not saying the scent is bad because its not, it's a nice floral scent but I much prefer a delicate fragrance for my face or none at all because this can be a little overpowering.

I do like the packaging for both of the products and I think they are very nicely presented but getting off the wrapper was a right pain! It's so sticky and even now as you can see below in the picture it doesn't look perfect and I know it shouldn't be something to worry about but for me, I like presenting my makeup and I am not too happy getting sticky fingers getting the lid off my foundation.
Bourjois healthy mixBefore anything I put a primer on my face which gives my skin a smooth base then I applied the concealer I put 3 vertical lines and I also put some on my nose and also on top of my lids too as I tend to look tired a lot. It blended very nicely with little effort with my Superdrug concealer makeup brush. After putting the concealer I put some foundation of my real techniques sponge and applied to my face and to get full coverage for my face and neck I used about 2 pumps of product which I think is quite good in performance as I usually use more with budget-friendly foundations.

The finish of this foundation is natural semi-matte finish which in my opinion gives me a dewy glow in which I love! It also feels quite light on the skin which is win-win for me as it makes wearing it all day effortless for me and I just forget about it until its time to remove my makeup.

This foundation states that its 16 hours hydration and 24 hours hydration which I nearly completely agree with. It does last a good 10-12 hours for me but only if I apply a primer and a makeup setting spray, it doesn't last as long without but its still impressive either way. I did notice my skin wasn't as dry after using this foundation and concealer as I usually get a dry skin with a lot of foundations and concealers but this one actually did the opposite and hydrated my skin.
bourjois healthy mix foundation and concealer review
Healthy mix foundation gives a natural glow and contains vitamins; C, B and E5 which helps reduce the signs of fatigue and boost skins radiance while giving it a smooth finish too. I love the name of these products and I think the new formula is wonderful but the overpowering fragrance isn't my cup of tea which is a shame but I will definitely continue buying both of these products because they work wonderfully well and are so easy to blend and build up from a light to a medium finish.

Below is my everyday makeup I like to wear and in it, I am wearing both the concealer and the foundation.
bourjois healthy mix foundation
These products are quite easy to find in-store and online. I bought mine in Superdrug on a 3 for 2 offer because I do love a bargain and saving money whenever I can.

Concealer: £8.99
Foundation: £9.99

My Valentine's Day Wish List 2018

Hi, Darlings. with valentines day just tomorrow, I know this valentine's wishlist is a little on the late side but that's typical of me leaving things till the last minute, I'm the same during Christmas too haha. Anyways even though my partner doesn't really believe in buying valentines day gifts as he finds it too commercial I still love all the themed products and you know something I have my fingers crossed he will get me something this year.

I know the usual products that are valentines day are flowers and chocolates I made a little list of other products which I would think are also a perfect gift too.

Love is in the air!
valentines day wish list
Lush Lots of Love Gift // £57.50
Even though I love the way this product is wrapped I would probably just buy these valentines themed products inside separately because if you bought all the items separately it would be £10 less, so a box worth £10? I think not. I love all the valentines day themed products at lush this year but I haven't got round to trying them yet, unfortunately.

I really want to buy unicorn horn and rose bombshell because they are old favourites of mine and they have definitely changed a little over the years.

Superdrug Limited Edition Lubes // £3.99 each *
I love these because they work very well and very affordable compared to other brands I usually buy. I love the fact they are named after the UK's top euphemisms just in time for valentines day including hanky-panky and also getting lucky.

These are available online and also in stores. They are cruelty-free and also vegan-friendly too.

Firebox Unicron Tears Pink Gin Liqueur Miniature //  £8.99
Unicorns are everywhere at the moment and I just love that. At the moment my home has a unicorn diffuser, mug and book. This gin is a lovely shimmery pink and holds a double measuring of gin so its perfect for sharing or if you're like me keeping it too yourself 😉

Apparently, this mythical spirit is the tears of lovesick unicorns.

Heart Shaped Chocolate Box from Hotel Chocolat  // £40
I love chocolate all year round no matter the occasion but I just love getting chocolate in a heart-shaped box, I just think its so sweet. Hotel Chocolat has the most delicious luxury chocolate and this box contains the most lovely different varieties of chocolate including; blueberry and champagne truffle which sounds delicious.

This box has 35 chocolates and is also vegetarian-friendly.

The Body Shop Japenese Cherry Blossom Strawberry Kiss Eau De Toilette // £15
This perfume comes in a retro style perfume bottle and has the fragrance of Japanese cherry blossom with notes of strawberry, peony and amber which gives this perfume a sweet yet floral scent. I haven't seen this perfume before but it definitely sounds perfect for me as I love floral scents.

The body shop is cruelty-free and this perfume is also vegan-friendly.

What are you hoping to get for Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day Salted Caramel Pancakes | Recipe

Hello darlings, I just love valentines day and I also love pancake day so I thought not combine the idea of both of them together? I love Valentine's day because I just love having a love filled-day with my partner, I know that sounds cheesy but I just love it that way. I also love pancakes, well because whats not to love about delicious pancakes? They are very versatile to make and you make them with a variety of fillings, toppings and sauces. I made the recipe below inspired by Gizzi Erskine salted caramel pancakes with my own personal twist of course.

These pancakes can be enjoyed any time of the year
salted caramel pancakes recipe
I like making pancakes no matter the time of year but with shrove, Tuesday coming up on the 13th and Valentine's day on Wednesday I thought let us make some love heart-shaped pancakes? I usually put chocolate or lotus spread on my homemade pancakes but we decided to have a change this year with making something I haven't made before but have always wanted to make; salted caramel.

Once I made the salted caramel I instantly knew why so many people loved the taste, salted caramel is the perfect balance between sweet and salted and on top of the pancakes it tastes perfect especially when they are both warm.
salted caramel pancakes recipe
The pancakes I made started off round but for the fun of it, we decided to have a little fun and use our cookie heart cutters and cut out heart shaped pancakes which look so adorable. If you leave them around you would get more pancakes but we got 7 heart shaped pancakes but if left round they would probably make between 8-10. With the leftover pancake we just dipped them into the caramel sauce and omg it was delicious.

I usually use sugar and butter in my pancake recipe but thanks to the kind people at The Groovy Food Company who sent me out their organic extra virgin coconut oil and their organic coconut sugar, I decided to make it with them instead and honestly I much prefer the taste of the coconut oil and sugar and if you ever make this recipe you will see why.
 Salted Caramel Pancakes Recipe
I use cups instead of my scales as I find it much easier.

Prep: 10 mins | Cook time: 25 mins | Total Time: 35

Ingredients for pancakes

  •  1 Cup of Milk ( I use free-range organic milk, you can also use plant-based milk such as soya or oat.
  • 1 Free Range Egg
  • 2 tbsp The Groovy Food  organic Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 1 cup of self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp The Groovy Food Organic Coconut Sugar
  • Sprinkle of salt
Ingredients for salted caramel
  • 200g The Groovy Food Company Organic Coconut Sugar
  • 30ml of water
  • Roughly 120 of condensed milk ( I used a squeeze bottle and gave it about 4 big squeezes)
  • 70g of The Groovy Food Company organic Virgin Coconut Oil.
  • Half tsp of salt

Method for pancakes
  1. Put self-raising flour, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl.
  2. Gradually whisk in the egg-milk and coconut oil until the mixture is smooth, if you want pink pancakes like mine, add pink food colouring.
  3. Heat a frying pan with a little bit of coconut oil on medium heat, make sure pan is hot before putting any pancakes in.
  4. Use an ice-cream scoop to pour in 2 scoops of pancake mix into the pan ( usually gets the right amount each time) smooth a little with the back of a spoon. Fry them till golden brown on each side which is usually just over a minute on each side.
  5. Once cooked slide them onto a plate and continue the process with the rest of the mixture.
Method for salted caramel
  1. I combined all the ingredients into a bowl and mixed them into a thick syrup
  2. I poured the mixture into a small pan on low heat
  3. After a few minutes, it all melted
  4. I took 2 tsp and drizzled it onto the pancakes
  5. I poured the rest into a jar for later use.

valentines day salted caramel pancakes recipe

Its been ages since my last recipe post but I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did making these. Thanks to The Groovy Food Company for sending me out the ingredients.

Do you love pancakes? If so what are your favourite combinations?

January Beauty Favourites

Hello, Darlings! I am actually proud of myself that I actually remembered to do a Beauty Favourites post as I usually forget till its too late, I am definitely hoping to keep up the trend for the rest of the year 'fingers crossed that is'.

So what did I love using last month?

My choices were pretty simple really! They are all products I used a lot and also products that exceeded expectations and stood out.
January Beauty favourites
So what are my favourites?

Vatika Olive Enriched Hair Oil
My hair has been dyed and changed so many times that I have actually lost count! With that being said my hair needs a bit of extra TLC to keep it from getting dry and also reducing the amount of damage I get when I dry and straighten my hair.

My partner recommends this to me as his mum used to use it on his hair and she still uses it now to keep her hair soft. We like to apply it to our hair and scalps the night before we wash our hair and it is so relaxing when you apply this to your scalp. Once we wash this out and do our typical hair washing routine we can definitely feel the difference in our hair, its smoother and much easier to style.

This perfume was on my wishlist for ages and it definitely didn't disappoint when I finally got this. It comes in the most gorgeous gem bottle that looks outta this world. The fragrance is super long lasting which is very impressive and the scent is woody and floral with sambac jasmine, cashmeran wood and white amber.

This fragrance is quite strong but I love it. I like to apply this to my neck and also on my wrists.
January Beauty Favourites
I first got introduced to beauty sponges when I got a beauty blender in a subscription box a few years back. I loved the beauty blender but I did think they were a little on the expensive side so I wanted to find a cheaper alternative that worked just as well and that's when I found this real techniques miracle sponge.

This sponge is roughly around £10 cheaper than the beauty blender which is great value especially when you need to change them every 3 months. These sponges come in variey of sizes and colours and they work amazingly well. These apply foundation and concealer on effortlessly and also give even finish too! I can't praise these sponges enough, they are fab!

I may only have 3 MAC lipsticks but I just love them all! I love it when they have themed products such as the viva glam or celebrity inspired but the usual lipsticks are just as stunning too. I love how well made the bullets are and also the amount of lipstick you get in the tube is quite generous for a premium lipstick.

I can't wait to add more MAC lipsticks to my collection in the near future, I would love some recommendations, which are your favourites?
Mac cosmetics lipstick
I have heard about this lotion for months now and it was about time I tried it for myself and it sure didn't disappoint me. Sleepy is a lotion that smells like lavender which helps you to relax which is brilliant if you've had a long day or you just want to relax.

I like to use this after a bath/shower as the smell is just lovely especially combined with fresh pyjamas. Its one of my favourite parts of my night time routine.

What are you're favourites in January?

Mugler Alien Perfume | Review

Hello darlings, I just love perfumes but I don't tend to get them that often as I like to wear my usual lush perfumes but I was pleasantly surprised to receive this perfume for Christmas, this has been on my wishlist for a few years now so you can imagine my face when I finally got this to try; I had everything crossed that I would adore the scent more often than the usual of just trying it out like a sample in store.

Mugler was founded by the French fashion designer and perfume designer Thierry Mugler. The first perfume by Mugler was an instant success and I am sure we have all heard about it and its called 'Angel' It has many celebrity fans such as Diana Ross and Eve Mendes. Since the success of his first perfume in 1992, they have been a few perfumes released including a men's version of the Angel fragrance and also this perfume called Alien.
Mugler Alien Perfume review
The packaging is just gorgeous! It has a solidly made box with the embossed words of Mugler and the name of the perfume Alien. The bottles itself is stunning and looks like a huge gem with jewel-like facets that you could only imagine in your dreams. I love the glowing purple with the gold, it justs adds a little mystery to the bottle and works so well with the name Alien.

Fragrance Notes
Sambac Jasmine
Cashmeran Wood
White Amber

First Impressions
Love! I just love how the perfume is presented and you kinda expect that especially when you pay top dollar for it. I was kinda a little shocked that the price of this perfume as the prices starts at £56 for 30ml. Once I actually smelt the perfume I could tell it was a quality fragrance unlike any perfume I have ever tried before, it has a mysterious side to it that makes me want to use it every day.
Mugler Alien perfume review
My Thoughts
I love this perfume and I am so grateful that I got it for Christmas. Not only does Alien have a stunningly mysterious bottle it also has a seductive scent that's woody but very feminine at the same time. The fragrance has to be the most long lasting perfume I own, I only put like 2 squirts of this on my neck and my wrists and the fragrance lasts strongly all day which is super impressive as other perfumes I have tried tend to lose scent over time this one, on the other hand, smells as strong and beautiful at the end of the day.

Now I can imagine the fragrance won't be to everyone's taste as it is a little on the powerful side but I just love it myself as I prefer stronger smelling fragrances.

This bottle is refillable which makes it more eco-friendly which is just great don't you think?

I am very pleased with Alien and I have very good first impressions of Mugler fragrances and I can't wait to try more of them in the future. I really want to try Aura Mugler in the very near future as I just love the green emerald bottle.
