Flamingo Candles Wax Melts | Review

flamingo candles wax melts review
Hi Lovelies
I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend! Its now December and that can only mean one thing.. it is almost Christmas, how exciting is that? During the Autumn/Winter months I tend to use candles a lot more than I usually do because for me personally it helps warms the house up and the fragrances can be very relaxing and warming too.

Flamingo Candles is a relatively new brand that came out in 2013, they offer candles, wax melts and monthly subscription boxes. I have always wanted to try the brand because I just love the name and obviously I love flamingos hence my blog name Fruity Flamingo. They make their candles out of soy wax which is 100% natural and they are hand poured in south whales and have a cotton wick and come in many different divine fragrances.

First Impressions
I have tried Yankee Candle wax melts before and I just loved them so I had a high exceptions from the start with these. I love the flamingo design on these and also the names on them too, they come in brightly wrapped tissue paper and each melt can come in various shades.

As soon as I got them I could smell them and wow first impressions of them was good because the smells are so different from other candles I have tried before. These wax melts were in fragrances of alcoholic beverages.

My Thoughts
I have my old wax Yankee Candle wax burner for these, I put a tea light underneath this and put the wax melt on top of it. It took about 20 minutes for the whole wax melt to actually melt, it melted rather quickly and the fragrance of each melt came of beautifully and wasn't over the top but more delicate but even though the smells coming out was delicate the scents are just lush.

Each candle has very natural scents and don't smell fake or anything like that. They last for ages too, on flamingo candles it says 20 hours and I couldn't agree more with that, so if you think about it, its very good value for money per wax melt.

Kir Royale Cocktail
This wax melt is wrapped in coral red wrapper and the wax melt is on off light yellow. The melts are a little bit bigger than Yankee Candle wax tarts and come in a plain design, they fill the whole bottom of the wax burner.

This smells like a gorgeous fruity cocktail and reminds me of the festive season. The smell doesn't smell like alcohol or anything like that just more like mocktail.

This is a fruity wax melt with creme de cassis with notes sparkly wine.

Lemon and Lime Mojito
This wax melt is wrapped in a lime green tissue paper and the wax melt was a pale green colour. The melt was a very zesty smell and was my favourite of the two. This one smelt exactly like a lemon and lime mojito and I am very tempted to buy this one again because I love the smell of the lime.

The wax melt has citrus top notes of lemon, lime and grapefruit leading onto peppermint and musk.

  4. These melts sound wonderful, the fact that you can smell them straight away is promising! I have been disappointed many times by products that barely have any smell or are very fake smelling. I also love the adorable flamingo on the packaging!
