Steak Cattle and Roll | Glasgow

steak cattle and roll glasgow review
Hi Lovelies
I must admit I just love a good *Veggie* Burger and usually it can be a right pain to actually find a restaurant that actually sells vegan/vegetarian options. Most veggie burgers I have tried before in the past didn't have dairy free cheese or nice sauces and as you can all kinda guess it makes a burger pretty darn dry if you don't have those things. I went out my way to actually find a restaurant that sold a decent variety of vegan/vegetarian burgers and thats where I found Steak Cattle and Roll.

Steak Cattle and Roll is very near to Glasgow central on Sauchiehall Street. It offers a variety of different food from burgers, salads and delicious dairy free milkshakes. Its not 100% vegan/vegetarian but it offers a lot of different vegan options on the menu, I for one for spoiled for choice on what to actually order because everything looks so darn yummy.

The Restaurant
It really reminds me of a 50s style diner with a modern twist. They are lots of seats too choose from including booths, classic chairs and a bar area, so lots too chose from if visiting by yourself, going with your friend/partner or group.  The decor is pleasant and the music isn't too loud either so its a great backing sound for when your'e eating and talking with company.

The restaurant can be reached fairly easily its on a main road so it be reached by car, walking or getting the bus. Its on the main road of sauichiehall street lots to other restaurants/bars and nightclubs.

 The Food
You really are spoiled for choice here as the restaurant has lots of hearty comfort food to choose from the food isn't going to win you in points for being the healthiest food in the world but it is great food to have as a treat or for when going out.

The menu has everything marked out simply so you know what you  are buying and its suitable for vegan or vegetarians. Its also marked clearly with the price. They have two menus; one for food and the other is for desserts and drinks.

Food choices *veggie options*
  • Burgers
  • Wraps
  • Salad
  • Fries & Sides
  • Nachos
Drinks & Desserts
  • Soda
  • Alcohol including wine
  • Hot drinks
  • Shakes including alcohol versions
  • Selection of cakes including a vegan option

steak cattle and roll Glasgow
What I ordered
The Classic Vegan Burger
This burger has a vegan burger topped with vegan mozzarella, served with salsa, rocket and red slaw with pan fried onion and bun.

The burger itself tasted divine, each bite was heavenly but as much as I loved eating this burger I could not pick it up to eat, I had to cut it into quarters so I could eat it. Even after all that it made a little bit of a mess so I would recommend getting a napkin or two. The burger is very filling and I ended up taking the rest of it home and having it later on in the evening, they put the rest of the burger in a  box neatly which is great if you can't finish it all.

Even though I loved the salad in this burger I think it was a touch OTT but you know its each to their own really. I loved this burger and the combination of the slaw, salsa and vegan mozzarella made this burger absolutely divine with its sweet/savoury elements.

Seasoned chips
HEAVEN IN A BASKET; no seriously if you love chips then you will love these chips. They are chips with skin left on so they have a bit of crunch and lots of flavour.

They are so many chips in the basket they can be shared which is great if you are going out with friends/family.

Things I loved

  • Very friendly staff; We were welcomed very quickly when we got to the restaurant and we got to choose out of the chair which we would like and once we were seated we got menus and a decent amount of time to choose drinks and order food.
  • Comfortable seating; Honestly you will be surprised how many restaurants have uncofertable seating. This restaurant has very comfy seating especially the booth seating.
  • Lots of vegan/vegetarian options; Usually going to a restaurant only has a few options but this place has so many options including food, desserts and drinks

Winter Inspired Bedding Wish List

winter inspired bedding wish list

Hi Lovelies
In the summer I really don't care to have a duvet on because its usually far to hot and clamy with it on so I usually just wear a blanket and cuddle up with my partner. As soon as Autumn/winter comes the weather changes which feels like happens over night, then its time to bring out the duvets again! In the autumn/winter  I like to bring out more season duvets such as neutral or autumn/winter shades such as red, grey and green. I also love Christmas themed bedding during the winter months because it is so festive and warming to have that in the colder months.

Not only do I like having winter duvets I like to have the matching bedding such as the sheets, pillow cases and also cushions. With them all matching I feel it makes a house more of a home and so much more cosier, I know it might sound daft but thats what it feels like to me.

What bedding I would like
Ted Baker Cotlin Duvet Cover  between £95-£115 I know this may seem a little bit on the expensive side but I just love the way Ted Baker products  look. They look very well made and very soft too since its made out of 50% cotton and 50% linen. I love the pastel pink shade of this and it would match my pink bedroom perfectly. This comes in sizes of double to super king.

Julian Charles Kennedy Charcoal Grey Luxury Check Duvet Cover £28-£48  Now I just love anything in a check pattern, the design is simple yet classical, it would suit any home and would love gorgeous any season. This gorgeous bedding is in the Julian Charles bedding sale and is a bargain now with 60% off. The bedding comes with lots of matching products including curtains and comes in the sizes of single to super king.

Marks and Spencer's Batik Print Bedding £39.50-£69 I just love Marks and Spencer's bedding products and have bought from them for years because I find the quality of the clothes and homeware to be a very high standard. I just love the design of this and I feel it has a Christmas vibe to it too. Another great thing about this I love is its made out of 100% sustainable cotton and comes in sizes of single to super king.

Dunelm Dorma Lomond Red Duvet Cover £29-£59 I just love checked and tartan bedding and to me its just the cherry on the ice-cream of winter bedding. The combination of bright red and dark green is the perfect mixture for the festive season. This bedding is made out of cotton and comes in sizes of single to super king.

What bedding do you like in the winter months?

The Body Shop Vanilla Chai Candle | Review

the body shoo vanilla chai candle review
Hi Lovelies
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far, I have had a nice weekend so far visiting my mum and family. I came over a little earlier than usual because we wanted to see my mums dog who has been recently diagnosed with cancer, so we wanted to spend some quality time with him and take some nice family pictures together. Anyway onto todays post as you all might know I am a bit candle mad, I think I have near on 20 candles in my flat at the moment. I just love the way they look and also how nice then can smell too.

I honestly didn't know that the body shop actually made candles until I went to a recent 'The body shop event in Glasgow' and thats where I got this one from. I also noticed they also do a few other candle scents as well including Green Tea and Lemon, Spiced Apple and Frosted berries. I was lucky enough to get this one in a goody bag when I went to the event. I have had it nearly a month now and I have used it a fair few times so I thought it was the right time to share my thoughts on this candle with you all.

First Impressions
My first impressions with this were as follows; The box it was in is beautiful, it has a simple christmasy design which stands out so nicely. I was whole heartedly expecting the candle inside to have a similar design on it but no, it was just nothing at all. It was just a simple plain candle with no labels or nothing. I know I sound like I may be over reacting a bit but I have seen so many candles do so well with candle designs and I thought this would be quite similar since it costs £10 to buy.

Apart from that small disappointment it was a nice heavy jar and you can smell the vanilla chair scent straight away. It is a very nice sweet scent which isn't too powerful but nice and delicate. The scent matches the festive period so much because it is a very warming smell.

My Thoughts
Over the passed few weeks I have used this candle most days and I just love it and Il tell you all why I love it so much. Firstly its sturdy, I have had candles before and sometimes the glass feels very unsteady and it made me worry bit about breaking but this one feels strong and built to last. Secondly the scent it just gorgeous, it honestly gives Yankee Candle a run for its money. The smell has top nots of spicy chai which is cardamon and star anise and base notes which is a delicate vanilla scent which is vanilla extract from Madagascar.

It took about 20 minutes for the whole room to smell like this gorgeous candle and I could even smell it in my hallway too. The wick is thick and sometimes can be a right blooming pain to light but once its lit its fine and doesn't go out unless you want it too. The candle has very gentle glow and isn't to bright at all.

Rating 4/5

Pros

  • Long lasting ( I still have over half after nearly a month using most days)
  •  Gentle light
  • Gorgeous smell of cardamon, star anise and vanilla
  • Feels strong and worth the price
  • Paraffin Free

Cons
  • Plain candle ( I know some people may like this but the box has a nice design and was expecting something similar  on the candle)

My Winter Skincare Favourites

winter skincare favourites
Hi Lovelies
I know it may only be autumn right now but it sure doesn't feel like it! Here in Glasgow we have minus temperatures already and wow can you feel it on your skin. With the ridiculously cold temperatures in mind I have drastically changed my skincare routine to combat the cold brisk weather we are having at the moment. The key areas I like to make sure are 100% with my skin are keeping pores unclogged from pollution and old makeup; so keeping them clear is a must have for me. Then keep the moisture in skin is another; my skin can get quite dry in places and its even worse in the winter if I am not careful, so with all that in mind I choose my products that I keep near at hand.

The products I have chosen are different prices brackets so they are something for everyone. Anyway's all the products I have chosen are cruelty free and as I love to be totally honest with all of my lovely followers two of these products were gifted for me to try but never the less I love them regardless if they given or no.
winter skincare favourite uk
Why Skincare is important to me
I must admit I was absolutely naff with using skincare products a few years ago, I don't think I used much at all apart from nivea and boy my skin didn't like that at all, I got a big reaction from one of their products and my face was sore for a few days after that.  I avoided anything for a while after that because I was worried about my skin reacting badly again to another skincare product. I think a big reason I didn't try more back then was also a lack of knowledge of different products and also the jobs different skincare products have.

The main thing that started me wanting to take care of my skin more was my daily makeup routine; I hear you all say why that? Well the reason for that was because taking makeup off after a long day everyday was really taking its toll on my skin. Thats the reason I take care of my skin so much now, I don't want my skin to be like before, I like to take extra special care of my skin. I am so glad I do because my skin is a lot softer and it is actually easier to apply and remove makeup now.

My favourite Winter skincare products
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foam Cleanser ( £5.50) This is brilliant to use in the mornings as it feels very refreshing on the skin. It helps to cleanse blemished skin and also reduce oiliness and shine.
  • Lush Snow Fairy Body Conditioner ( Between £7.95 for 100ml and £13.95 for 225g) Vegan Now this is just heaven for anyone who love snow fairy showgel, it has exactly the same scent and even has similar shimmer in it too. This is a lush moisturiser not only does it make you smell lovely it helps keep skin soft too.
  • Dr Botanicals  Japenese orange superfood facial oil and night cream ( Under £20 each on sale) Vegan Out of all of the face moisturisers and oils I have tried this one smells the best, it has the most divine sweet orange scent. I use these both together at night time to give my skin the ultimate luxury. These are natural and are full of vitamins and essential fatty acids, its designed to combat dry skin and help skin look younger.
  • The Body Shop Frosted Berries Lip Balm ( £4.00)  I must say I love lots of different lip balms at the moment but this one won out the choices because it smells like Christmas, I know that might sound daft but it does because it has a very festive berry smell. Wearing a lip balm helps keep lips soft and stops getting them so dry in cold weather. Its also great for wearing a matte or liquid lipstick.
  • Nip + Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser (£14.95) Vegan This smells very refreshing like cucumbers, its also very light weight and glides onto the skin effortlessly. It contains aloe vera and shea butter to help smooth and improve skins texture.
  • Soap and Glory Hand Food ( £6.00) Vegan Honestly this is a heavenly smell of marshmallows and to me thats the perfect scent for winter as it reminds me of a hot chocolate. This hand cream features fennel and lotus flower extracts which helps to keep hands smooth.
  • Soap and Glory Heal Genius ( £5.50) Vegan This cream is so thick that you need to put socks on after you apply it, even though that sounds like a right pain it is so worth it because it help smooth feet. Its works wonders on the hard skin on my feet.
  • The Body Shop Body Butters ( £14.00) I can't say which scent I like the most because they all smell wonderful and they all work very well. These creams are luxurious and thick, they last for 24 which I think is amazing.
  • The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask ( £15.00) Vegan I just love having a face mask on and it usually doesn't matter which brand it is but I just love this one. This one is great at absorbing excess oil and purifies skin to give your skin a glow.

Lush Shoot for the Stars | Review

lush shoot for the stars bath bomb review
Hi Lovelies
Christmas is my favourite time of the year, I just love the sparkles, decorations and seeing my family. This year Lush has the most beautiful Christmas themed products, I actually treated myself to a few of things in the range in my latest Lush Haul. I really love everything in the range because everything is sparkly and bright and is perfect to help get into the Christmas sprit.

The Lush Christmas range has many things to choose from this year including bath products, soaps, gift sets and lip scrubs. I was also told that all the lush Christmas bath products are vegan, all of Lush products are also cruelty free.  I was spoiled for choice and I had no idea what to get because everything looks wonderful and the whole shops smells gorgeous. Eventually I chose this as part of my haul. I just love it has sparkly gold stars on it.
First impressions
This is the first thing I put in my basket during my lush haul. The reason I put it in first was because it has 3 beautiful sparkly stars and is set on a gorgeous bright blue. I looked the price and was in two minds whether to buy it but you all know me, I couldn't resist because of the sparkles and the lovely stars, its just gorgeous.

Picking it up I could smell it has a rather sweet zesty scent. The scent is refreshing and the sparkles go a little bit on your fingers too.

lush shoot for the stars
My thoughts
I made sure the bath was nice and warm before popping in this beauty, it was a slow and delicate melter and was spinning while doing so. Once it started to melt it started to show sparkly stars in the centre and they must have roughly about 7 stars in the centre. Each star was quite big and they were also slow melters too, they had golden sparkles on the back of each of them. When everything was completely melted the bath was a emerald green with golden sparkles in every inch of the water. The beautiful thing about the golden sparkles was they stuck together and raised to the top and burst like little fireworks on top of the water.

The smell was utterly divine and so zesty, it kinda reminded me of a cocktail. Its one of those scents that help you relax especially after a long day. They key 4 ingredients are as follows; Brazilian Orange Oil, Fair Trade Organic Cocoa Butter, Bergamot Oil and Coconut Cream.

Me and my partner enjoyed this bath so much, it was just blissful. It was so nice relaxing together watching the sparkles in the emerald water. My partner is usually quite picky with lush products he likes but he just loved this one and so did I. We will defiantly be buying it again because I think it worth the money and looks stunning.

Because 'shoot for the stars' contains  coconut cream and some cocoa butter it was very soothing of the skin, the bath water almost felt silky. My skin felt moisturised even after I came out the bath. My skin felt so soft that I didn't actually bother putting extra moisturiser on.

Rating 4.5 / 5

Pros
Big and takes its time to melt
Gorgeous display in bath
Lots of glitter

Cons
Glitter left on bath

Have you tried anything from the Lush Christmas range yet?

WWE RAW | Glasgow

Hi LoveliesAs some of you may know I am a big fan of wrestling and have been since I was 9 years old and  I remember that day very well and it was a match from WWF (now WWE) and it was Triple H vs The Rock,. I watched the whole programme mesmorised with my brother and from that day onwards I have watched wrestling and I still love it as much now then I did then. Instead of watching it with my brother I now enjoy watching it with my partner. In April I went to WWE Glasgow event and I was about 12 rows from the front so the views were pretty amazing and I got some amazing photos from that event including my favourite wrestler Roman Reigns. That event was the first time I ever went to a wrestling event and wow it was so damn epic and the experience was top notch. During the show we found out the next time they would be in Glasgow it would be a live event and me and my partner looked at each other and we knew we needed tickets for that event.

Where:
The SSE Hydro, Glasgow UK
This is very near the centre of town and has lots of bus routes too it. We set off an hour and half early and it still had massive queues at the event so keep that in mind if visiting the SSE Hyrdro in your car.

Parking:
On site parking multi-story parking / 2-12 hours £8
Getting a parking space was fine as they had parking attendants, so they was no rush to find a space as they are plenty to go around. You can pay for your ticket before or after the  event but I suggest beforehand because the queues are nuts after the event because everyone wants to go home at the same time.

Food:
A few little food places to choose from including: Rocksalt, Hot Wok big grill and wee grill.
I didn't get anything apart from some chocolate and 2 large iron bru for me, my partner and my son. The food queues are a little lengthy so I suggest getting there early to an event.

Access:
Its easy enough to get too by car, train or walking. It has disabled access, more info on that on their website.

We got here by car and the directions were simple enough for us to find the event and find parking too. It was also clear on were the event was and directions to the hydro. Getting to the hydro from the car parking lot took us less than 10 minutes. Queuing was very long and it took us absolutely ages to collect the tickets from the box office so my advice for anyone is make sure you have tickets/confirmation email beforehand because  we almost missed the start of the show.

The Event
We actually got decent seats on the first tier so we had a pretty good view of the ring. As soon as we sat down the show was about to start and lights were all over the place and not long after that the bloody loudest fireworks Ive ever heard in my life!!! On the TV you don't take notice but at the event I jumped out of my seat they were that loud haha.

All the matches were pretty amazing but wow they were so many adverts and at some point I thought they were never going to end. Honestly I know they have a network but keep going on about it, is going to get on anyones nerves.

The show started at 7am and finished just after 11 at night so the whole night was jam packed with lots of wrestling so I defiantly feel like we got our moneys worth.

My Favourite Match

5 on 5 Traditional Elimination match between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, Braun strowman and Chris Jericho
This was honestly my highlight match, hearing my favourite wrestlers music play really made my adrenaline run for the match ahead! This match was epic and all started because they couldn't agree on who should be uncharge of the RAW group against smackdown for the survivor series.

The feud started with Christ Jericho and Kevin Owens wanting to be in charge of the group and the other 3 were totally against the idea and a brawl started, thats when Stephanie came out and told them to settle their differences in a fatal 5 way ahead of the survivor series.

Between the other matches Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens tried to get Braun Strowman on their team ahead of the fatal 5 way but he simply replied 'I work alone' when he said that he  almost when onto Chris Jericho's list.

The match just brilliant, as always Kevin and Chris worked together which in turn made Seth and Roman work together in some part, as always Braun was the lone wolf and had no problem taking them all on at once. Eventually Braun ended up through a table and Kevin ended up winning the match by accidentally pinning his best buddy Chris.

Other Highlights

  • Noam Dar Debuts - Dar has been a wrestler for many years in Glasgow and was called up by WWE with a contract, His first match was a tag team match with tag team partner Brian Kendrick against Sin Cara and Rich Swann. They lost the match and Brian blamed him but he soon regret it when did his finisher on him showing him why he's at WWE. He got an amazing standing ovation and everyone was cheering him on.
  • Charlotte Leads the women's Raw Team -  The team consisted of Baylee, Alicia Fox, Nia Jax and Sasha Banks.
  • The New Day lead Raws tag team - In the group are Cesaro and Sheamus, Enzo Amore and Big Cass, Golddust and R-Truth and Gallows and Anderson.  I loved that the New Day were dressed in traditional Scottish clothes.

Are you a fan of wrestling? Have you been to a show before?

Optrex Warming Eye Mask and 2 in 1 Eye Mist | Review

optrex warming mask review
Hi Lovelies
If any of you are a blogger like me or use a computer a lot getting dry eyes or tired eyes can be a problem. I like to blog every evening and put a lot of concentration in to make sure my blog posts are up to my standard and sometimes that means I can get a little tired and get dry eyes from time to time which can be a blooming pain.

Now I have heard of Optrex in the past but I never actually got round to actually trying the products so I am glad that I got the chance to actually try these out for myself to see how well they worked. I got an eye warming mask which is meant relive and relax tired eyes. I also got a 2 in 1 eye mist to help dry and irritated eyes.

optrex eye mask and eye mist
The warming eye mask
Optrex recommend using this mask relaxing listening to music since you should be wearing it for  10 minutes.  I personally wasn't sure about this, it went quite warm but to be honest I wasn't too keen on that but saying that my partner loved it and he managed to go to sleep very quickly after using this.

The 2 in 1 eye mist
This mist is to help restore moisture to your eyes, its used on closed eyes and can be used over makeup too. Out of the two products this was defiantly my favourite as it made such a  difference to my eyes. They are less dry and so much more moisturised and I can blog more comfortably now.

Optrex Warming Eye Mask  | £9.99 for 2

Have you tried any of these before?

Getting My Hair Red With Manic Panic Vampire Red

manic panic vampire red
Hi Lovelies
You know something, I have actually lost count on how many times I have dyed my hair over the years it has literally been the colour of the rainbow pretty much. I  can honestly say to you all I really enjoy having bright hair and it has to be the biggest reason I wanted to dye it again. My all time favourite hair colour is red and the reason for that is a mixture of a few things and il tell you all what those reasons are; first being I love the way it looks especially with the way I put my makeup on. Secondly red is my favourite colour, I know that may sound like a silly reason but I just love it.

Anyway I did my research well before I took the plunge to dye my hair red. I looked online for ages choosing the right brand and the right red for my hair. I also looked at  the best way to look after red hair because red hair is one of the most difficult hair colours to look after. I also got everything prepared such as the dye, old towel vaseline and so on.

manic panic vampire red
Preparation

  • Manic Panic Vampire Red x1 ( 2 if you have very long hair)
  • Old Towel
  • Vaseline
  • Plastic Gloves
  • Tinting Bowl and gloves
As you can see in my before picture my hair isn't bleached to a light blonde like the manic panic tub suggests. I didn't mind because usually red hair dyes have worked well before in the past on my dark blonde hair, so I wasn't worried that it wouldn't work. The tub suggests washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo before dying your hair to make sure your hair is clean before putting this hair dye on so I did that beforehand.

Before
manic panic vampire red on dark blonde hair
*As with any hair dye, do a skin patch test*

My partner applied this hair dye on my hair and I would personally suggest to anyone wanting to dye their hair at home to get someone to help them with it because it can be awkward doing it on yourself unless you know what you are doing. My partner applied it to all of my hair evenly with a tinting brush and bowl, they is still about a quarter of a tub left after applying to my hair. Once it was all in my hair I used a big toothed comb to distrubrute the hair dye evenly through all of my hair from my roots to the tips of my hair.

I kept it in my hair for about 45 minutes even though it suggested only 30, the reason I kept it in my hair for longer is because my hair can be a bit resilient sometimes. The hair dye wasn't runny and not much went on the towel. Once it came to washing it out I washed it out  with cool water, the reason for that is that it helps to lock in more of the colour in the hair. Honestly the amount of red that came out in the shower was shocking but to be fair that was to be expected.

I styled my hair as usual once I got all the hair dye out of my hair. I was so happy with the result that I nearly got a tear in my eye because I just loved the way it looked. I style my hair oil, heat proaction spray followed by blow drying and straightening my hair.

 After
manic vampire vampire red

My overall Thoughts
I'm involve with it! I am so happy with the results, I am very shocked it worked so well on unbleached or light blonde hair. Manic Panic is a brand I will be buying of in the future because its a very good quality hair dye. I'm hoping it washes well and I will be using products to make sure my hair stays as bright red as possible.

Another thing I love about Manic panic vampire red is that it has no scent and after washing my hair it was very easy to style my hair. My hair was actually noticeably softer too.

Things I love about Manic Panic
  • Lots of hair colours to choose from
  • The hair dyes are semi permanent
  • Vegan and Cruelty Free
  • They make other things like shampoos and conditioners
  • I love the motto 'live fast dye your hair'

Check out Manic Panic hair products on their website www.manicpanic.com

Have you ever had bright hair before?

Lush Christmas Haul

Hi Lovelies
As promised I went to Lush and treated myself to some products from their Christmas Collection. It was only recently that I used up all of the Halloween Haul I got a couple of months ago, so I knew it was about time I got some of the Christmas range. For me autumn and winter is my most favourite time of year at Lush because I just love it when they bring out their themed collections such as Halloween, Christmas and Valentine's day. The designs are themed and I have noticed they are also a bit more sparkly too.

Unsurprisingly as we all know Christmas is the most busiest time of the year in any shop, and lush is no different as they are loads more products in the Christmas collection. They are a variety of products such as many types gift boxes, soaps and bathbombs etc. I could of stayed in the shop all day because they was so much to choose from and I really wanted to get everything haha! I was also told that everything in the Christmas range in vegan, so thats great to know.

I noticed the paper bags are Christmas themed too which I find just so darn adorable! It's a light blue with a star shaped bubble bar on it, its almost like a mini present ( to myself of course haha)

Lush Christmas 2016What I bought

  • Shoot for the stars Bath Bomb - £4.25 This is a bright blue with three gold sparkly stars around it! The stars are honey scented and the blue part is a zesty orange scent, I really can't wait to try this and see what it looks like in the bath.
  • Mistletoe Bath Bomb - £4.25 This is just a gorgeous pink and light green shade, I just love it. It has a delicate floral scent which is ylang ylang.
  • Jester Bubble Bar - £6.50 I just love bubble bars because the can be used more than once. This one is a little jester and its bright red, pink and yellow with a blue ribbon and a bell on. This has a nice zesty smell which is bergamot, tangerine and sicilian mandarin oil.
  • Snow Fairy Body Conditioner - £7.95 100ml Snow fairy  is my all time favourite shower gel and I wait all year round till it  come back in stock because I love the smell of sweet candy floss. I didn't get the shower gel this year but this instead to change things up a little.

Have you bought anything in Lush lately?

Lush Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar Review

lush sparkly pumpkin review
Hi Lovelies
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far! Here in Glasgow it is a very rainy day and I'm having a quiet day in and will probably be making another youtube video for my channel later on so keep an eye out for that. I am such a forgetful person that I nearly forgot to tell you all about my most recent Lush bath with my partner. This past week I realised that I had still to use my last of my Halloween Lush Haul  'Sparkly Pumpkin bubble bar' so I decided to try it out.

Any doodle on with the post, Lush had some amazing products in their halloween collection and I am going to miss them a lot because I just love all things spooky no matter what time of the year it is. The plus side about me using them all up means that I can actually stock up on the Christmas collection, so expect a haul on that very soon.

I was only going to get 4 Halloween products but I ending up buying this too, the main reason I bought this was because of its eye catching sparkles, I gotta admit I love a bit of sparkle, so as you can guess it went straight in my basket.

I noticed as soon as I picked it up they were a lot of sparkles on my fingers, but I was ok with it because you know as I said above sparkles are cool with me. The scent was also very zesty with a bit of spice. The pumpkins top is a little bit of cinnamon which I just find adorable.

My Thoughts
With any bubble bar from Lush they can usually be broken up and be used more than once, but this time I was a little greedier then I usually am with Lush products and I just used the whole thing at once. I crumbled the whole thing in running warm water in the bath and honestly it felt so dreamy and soft in my hands, it melted away relatively quickly ( approx 2 mins) and it created some epic bubbles. The whole bathroom smelt so zesty and spicy in the process.

Myself and my partner love a hot bath together every now and again and this time was no different, the bath was filled with lovely bright orange and luxurious thick bubbles that actually stayed for ages. The orange in the bath also had the gorgeous golden sparkles in it too. My partner loves sparkles too because he actually looks forward to having a bit of sparkle on his skin after the bath.

We stayed in the bath for what seemed like ages and we wanted to stay in it forever because the smell just captivated us both. The smell was grapefruit oil, cinnamon juniper berry oil  and the combination of these 3 was heavenly. I knew I made a big ass mistake not buying more of these or at least cutting the damn thing in half haha.

It was a very smoothing bath and our skins felt lovely after the bath, we didn't feel the need to go mad with the moisturiser like we usually do. The scent lasted till later in the evening ( we took the bath in the morning)

 Would I recommend?
If you love a lot of sparkles, bubbles and spicy scents then this is something that you would defiantly love! It is a bubble bar so it can be enjoyed more than once and also its more budget friendly if its used like that.

Pros
Smells gorgeous ( Zesty with a bit of spice)
Lots of sparkles
Vegan
Cruelty Free
Can be used more than once

Cons
Not sold anymore ( its in the pumpkin gift set)
lots of sparkles ( I know some people don't like too much sparkle)

October Beauty Favourites

October beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
Its that time of the month again when I show you all my monthly beauty favourites! This month I have made another youtube video to go along with it yet again 'WOOHOO" . October started out really warm and by the end of the month it went really cold. I am sure autumn lasts a day or two and winter on the other hand lasts like the rest of the year.

I honestly normally struggle on what to say is my monthly beauty favourites because I usually use a vast range of products I actually like so it can take me a while to actually decide which ones I like. Out of all the months this year this one had to be the easiest out of all the months to actually choose what I actually loved in October, I tended to use these products the most this month.

October Favourites
  • Urban Decay Naked Foundation : I am so forgetful, I actually had this as a beauty favourite in September too. O well, it just goes to show how much I actually love this foundation. I just love how weightless this is on the skin and it also applies like a dream too. Combined with the urban decay all nighter spray it lasts all day.
  • Nyx Cosmetics Tame & Frame Pomade: I have to say I am no expert when trying to get a decent arch in my brows but this pomade makes it so much easier and to get a shape that I actually liked and matches my style.
  • Lush Bubble Gum Lip scrub: Every time before I put a lipstick on I always apply a lip balm or scrub before hand because it leaves lips feeling softer and lipstick applies so much better that way.
  • Soap and Glory Heal Genius: This honestly smells lovely, like orange and lemons. I use this everyday (whenever I remember) and my feet are a lot smoother then they used to be.
  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Facial Cleanser: Honestly before this I had never used a cleanser before so trying this was different. It feels very refreshing on the skin with a gorgeous tea tree scent. It comes out like a foam and honestly a little bit goes a long way.

The Body Shop Haul | Glasgow Event

The Body Shop Haul and Glasgow Event
Hi Lovelies
I recently went to a blogger event at The Body Shop in Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow and while there we seen all the brand new Christmas range. The staff were very kind and told us all about all the products, they also had an skincare expert called Sharon who could help anyone with any questions about skincare. The event is the only second time I went to an event so it was a nice change and great place to meet other bloggers and try new products.

The Body Shop has added a lot of Christmas stuff in its range including new scents: the scents are as follows. Vanilla Chai, Frosted Berries and Spiced Apple. They come in a few forms such as shower gel, body butter, fragrance mist and  a few other things too.

Another amazing christmas product they have is beauty advent calendars. The last time I had an advent calendar was when I was a kid! I am so happy to see the many beauty options out now. The body shop offers the advent calendars in 3 different  sizes and prices. As well as the advent calendars they offer so many gift boxes too.

The Body Shop Christmas Range
What I bought

  • Bath Fizzers ( all 4 scents ) £1 / each - I tend to always go to Lush for  bath products but I thought I would have a nice little change and try these since they are adorable. The scents come in vanilla delight, candied plum, berry bliss and frosted flower.
  • Matte Liquid Lipsticks / £6 each - At the moment liquid lipsticks are so popular so I wanted to give these a whirl. I bought  Sydney amaryllis and Tahiti Hibiscus.
  • Himalayan Charcoal Glow Mask / £15 each - I love a good face mask so I just had to get this! This is great for unblocking pores and refreshing skin. The lady at the body shop recommending applying it with a brush so il be using a foundation brush with it haha.
  •  Vanilla Chai Candle / £10 each - I just love candles especially in the colder months. I have actually never got round to actually trying a body candle before but I am looking forward to giving this a try.
  • Spiced Apple Shower Gel / £5 each - Me and my partner love this shower gel already, we have tried it a few times since getting it. It has a spicy and a very subtle sweet scent to it.
  • French Lavendar Massage Oil / £14 each - My partner goes to wrestling training to the gym a lot each week so I got this to help relax his body after all the activities he does. I also use it to help me relax after a long day.
  • Frosted Berries Lip Balm / £4 - Defiantly one of my favourite buys of the day! This has a nice sweet delicate smell and helps keep lips soft.
  • Reggie Bath Sponge / £4 each - How adorable is this sponge, just love it

Caketoppers Photo Cupcakes | Review

Hi Lovelies
When it comes to anything sweet I am defiantly a fan because I just love all things cake, chocolate/sweets and desserts. I usually like to bake every now and again but I also like to buy cakes from other places too from time to time because I like to try new things out. I was very lucky to be contacted by the lovely people at Caketoppers to review these adorable cupcakes. The picture on the cupcakes is my mums gorgeous Airedale Terrier Ben.

The cupcakes above are photo cupcakes and to get them like that I sent the picture to them in an email and they put it on the cupcakes and I got them within 1 days! So a very fast service. The cupcakes come in classic and chocolate

My Thoughts
Honestly I have never tried a cupcake like it! It was defiantly different experience eating something that has a photo on it but once I got over the a fact it has actually an edible photo I was fine with it. The chocolate cupcake is in the gold wrapper and trust me it was blooming delicious with a thick but smooth layer of chocolate below the photo and underneath that was a soft chocolate sponge. It had to be the softest yummy cupcake I have ever tried, it was honestly heavenly! I was disappointed when it was finished haha.

The classic cupcake is in the silver cupcake case and it is a more traditional recipe cupcake which brought me back to the days when I used to bake with my nana. The cupcake has a lovely vanilla layer of icing followed by a fluffy vanilla sponge, this was equally as delicious as the chocolate cupcake.

I would totally recommend them to anyone especially if you are planning a party or something like that, since you can put any design on them you can be as creative as you want to be with these cupcakes. They also offer photos on cakes as well as the cupcakes and prices from them are £35.
