Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick

Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick
By the looks of this post you would of thought Christmas had started earlier but nope its just one of my many lipsticks in my collection! This is Pinkie which I actually won last year in a competition and have just got round to wearing it. I am not usually a pale pink lipstick fan and its very rare I would buy this but thankfully I won this because I love it.
For me Illamasqua lipsticks are very much a splurge product because they are very expensive at £19.50 each. For this product to win me over it had to do many things one being it had to be fantastic quality another the colour had to 100% on point and why not? that's what you would expect for a product of this price region and trust me I have bought lipsticks in many price regions and this being the highest I would pay.
illamasqua pinkie lipstick review
My first impressions of this lipstick was wow I love the case, as for me the more plainer  a design the better for me ( unless its ysl or jeffree star) The shade Pinkie itself looks very cool light pink shade and the finish is a very glossy satin finish which I loved. I am a big fan of matte lipsticks but having  a nice satin lipstick can be a very nice change. The feel of this on my lips was very soft and looked very vibrant and would look fab with more natural makeup but you know that's what I think looks best for me. I wouldn't say that this lipstick is the most long lasting in the world and lasted me about 2-3 hours depending  which isn't ideal for me really.
Overall I do like this lipstick a lot but I wouldn't say its worth the price tag as I have many other lipsticks in my collection which are way cheaper then this one and last way longer then this one unfortunately. On  the plus side of this lipstick it did make me think a bit more on which lipsticks I want to buy in future and maybe I will be more daring for myself an buy some more pink lipsticks

  1. Nice lipstick! I have a couple of Illamasqua nail polishes but they were a bargain find at TK Maxx.

  2. I have to agree, Illamasqua lipsticks are quite expensive! And what with Liquid Lipsticks now on the rise for much less, they may have to step up their game.

On the other hand, this lipstick does actually look lovely! It's SO YOU!

  3. I don't mind spending this much on a lipstick if it's worth it like Charlotte Tilbury or Nars ones. A nice colour though! x

  4. Woah I definitely didn't realise Illamasqua lipsticks were that pricey! It sure does look pigmented though. I don't have anything Illamasqua except for a nail varnish (which, like the commenter at the top, was also a TK bargain!) - however I'd love to try their foundation and that shimmery gold highlight they do, it looks dreeeamy!
