Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick

Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick
By the looks of this post you would of thought Christmas had started earlier but nope its just one of my many lipsticks in my collection! This is Pinkie which I actually won last year in a competition and have just got round to wearing it. I am not usually a pale pink lipstick fan and its very rare I would buy this but thankfully I won this because I love it.

For me Illamasqua lipsticks are very much a splurge product because they are very expensive at £19.50 each. For this product to win me over it had to do many things one being it had to be fantastic quality another the colour had to 100% on point and why not? that's what you would expect for a product of this price region and trust me I have bought lipsticks in many price regions and this being the highest I would pay.
illamasqua pinkie lipstick review
My first impressions of this lipstick was wow I love the case, as for me the more plainer  a design the better for me ( unless its ysl or jeffree star) The shade Pinkie itself looks very cool light pink shade and the finish is a very glossy satin finish which I loved. I am a big fan of matte lipsticks but having  a nice satin lipstick can be a very nice change. The feel of this on my lips was very soft and looked very vibrant and would look fab with more natural makeup but you know that's what I think looks best for me. I wouldn't say that this lipstick is the most long lasting in the world and lasted me about 2-3 hours depending  which isn't ideal for me really.

Overall I do like this lipstick a lot but I wouldn't say its worth the price tag as I have many other lipsticks in my collection which are way cheaper then this one and last way longer then this one unfortunately. On  the plus side of this lipstick it did make me think a bit more on which lipsticks I want to buy in future and maybe I will be more daring for myself an buy some more pink lipsticks

Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick is available online and at illamasqua counters throughout the country

Goals for 2015 - Update

Hi Lovelies
I can't believe its nearly Christmas and also the end of 2015 and I'm already writing an update! I really think 2015 went by too fast, probably the fastest one I can remember. I almost forgot what my goals where for 2015 until I recently checked the post I wrote last year, I must admit I did not complete most of my goals but I did achieve other things which evens things out for me.

My Goals for 2015 were as follows

Schedule blog posts - This one was a bit of a hit and miss for me as I did have a few times this year where I actually did manage to post everyday but also they was other times that I completely had an irregular posting pattern. This is a goal that I will continue to have for 2016 and hopefully will be able to achieve, the dream is to post everyday in 2016.

Learn Arabic - I totally failed at this one to be honest, I know very little Arabic and I don't think I have even learnt anything new from 2014, I probably only know how to pray and simple things like the Arabic alphabet. I am a little disappointed with that but on the other hand I am happy with my learning of the Quran.

Complete my Makeup Artistity course -  I failed this one but not because I was rubbish at it or anything like that, its because I would rather be something else in life which I am currently working on and will share with you all later on. I am very happy with the way I apply my own makeup and my fab makeup collection I just don't think being a makeup artist is the job for me.

More Charity work -  I wouldn't say I did more charity work this year but I think I did a pretty good job in 2015 with giving to charity. Charity has always been important to me and every year I will continue to give and do as much as possible for people in need.

Be more confident -  Being confident is one the biggest thing I wanted to do in 2015 and I wouldn't say I'm the most confident person in the world but I have came a long way since the end of 2014 and hopefully through time my confidence will continue to get better and better.

Visit my dads side of family - unfortunately this is a goal I didn't do as they is so many reasons why such as its so far from where I live and its very expensive to travel for me with my 3 children and my husband at the moment too. Hopefully one day when my dad decides to talk to me.

Save money -  I think this one has went very well and we are very well onto our way of buying our own house. I am so looking forward to having my own house instead of paying rent and not being able to design the house the way I would like.

Lose weight -  I gained a lot of weight this year that I am not even going to write down how much I have gained because sharing it is not going to do anything. I am not even upset about it to be honest as I know I will loose it eventually through time. I am happy with the way I am at the moment and will continue to be regardless of what the scales say.

Did you achieve your goals for 2015?

Illamasqua Stagnate Nail Varnish Review

Illamasqua Stagnate
Hi Lovelies
I love blogging but at the moment I haven't blogged as much as I would like to as I have been sorting things out for Christmas with my family, so that has took so much of my time up as well as my usual mummy duties. I hopefully soon I would be able to find more time to post more as I just love it. Anyways lets get onto my nail polish that I am wearing this week which is illamasqua stagnate which is something that I have had in my makeup drawer for a while but just got round to using.

Stagnate Is a nail varnish I bought ages ago that I can't exactly remember when! I love the names of illamasqua nail varnishes and this name is just great as it matches its shade very well which is a grey mauve shade. I personally don't wearing wear dull nail varnishes as I like a bright nail varnish look but I decided for a nice subtle change this week.

Illamasqua Stagnate Review

Stagnate is a grey mauve shade in a glossy finish and this cost me £14.50 for a 15ml nail varnish. I know that the price is a little bit steep for a nail varnish but I fancied treating myself at the time and I really wanted to see what Illamasqua nail varnishes where like as I had never tried them ever before so I thought why not!

I really love the design of this bottle, I know it may looks super simple but for me simpler looking beauty items looks so much nice (unless its mac, jeffree star or limecrime :D) The brush is not much different from the Barry m nail varnish brushes so its a good size. It took 2 coats to get an even finish with this nail varnish to get an opaque look. It looks a little bit different from what it looks like on the Illamasqua website but I still love the way it looks and matches perfectly with the winter weather. I have worn stagnate for just under a week now and its only just started to chip so its a good long lasting nail varnish. The finish is just gorgeous and I was surprised how glossy it looked, the glossiness lasted just as long as the nail varnish and I didn't feel the need to add a top coat to this because it looked good enough without it.

I really love Ilamasqua but I do think this product is a little overpriced seeing as Barry M nail paints are the same quality and cost so much less then this. Saying that I would buy more Illamasqua nail varnishes if they are on sale as the are fabulous.

Have your tried Illamasqua Nail Varnishes before?

November Beauty Favourites

November Beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
I just can't believe its now December and it wont be long till the big day that we all look forward to every year.. Christmas! I was so excited and carried away about it being December I almost forgot to share with you all my Vegan November Beauty Favourites

For me they was no competition picking my November beauty favourites as I used them all and they made me super happy with their results. Below is my favourites

Out of all my foundations this is one foundation I usually used in November and the reasons being is its so easy to blend and gives fabulous coverage. I love how long this foundation lasts and I don't worry about it all day as I know it will look just as fab at the end of the day. Another great thing about this foundation is that it has no scent so it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

I just love all of my makeup brushes as they allow me to create a variety of different looks and with this brush its no different. I love the design of this brush with its pink handle and its blue and purple bristle, its very soft and applies concealer and highlighter perfectly and looks very even. This brush is a concealer brush but Septrum has many brushes available and I am tempted to add more of them to my collection and best thing about them is that they are cruelty free and Vegan.

During the winter lip balms are a must for me to keep my lips feeling soft and healthy, hurraw is a raw vanilla lip balm which leaves my lips very soft and has a very nice scent which thankfully isn't overpowering and doesn't smell cheap either which is just fab because I have found a lot of lip balms do tend to have a not very nice fake smell but this one is very pleasant.

No matter the time of year a highlighter in my makeup regime is very important as I just love how they brighten up my complexion next to either a blusher or bronzer. I have a few highlighters in my makeup drawer but this one was my favourite last month as I mostly wore bronzers and I really think that this makeup revolution highlighter really compliments a bronzer to give a pretty good contoured look every time.

Illamasqua stagnate has been sitting in my nail polish box for nearly a year because I was really unsure it I would suit it or not but last week I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did because its such a gorgeous grey mauve shade for the autumn winter. I wore this for my husbands birthday and I just loved it, I wore it for 3 days and just before I removed it, it hardly had any chips so its quite a good long lasting nail paint.

As soon as this was back in Lush I just had to have it as its got the most gorgeous sweet candy floss smell, I just love it. My husband really loves the smell of this too and he says it reminds him of Christmas baking. I really hope to get a few bottles of snow fairy in the lush sale on boxing day! bring on boxing day I say.

What are your November Beauty favourites?

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

lush snow fairy shower gel
Hi Lovelies
Its been a while since I last posted but I'm back to blogging now after mini break. Its finally that time of the year - December so I am counting down the days till Christmas, we are all going to be visiting my family which we are all looking forward too. Anyways lets get to what this post is about and its Snow Fairy shower gel from the Lush Christmas range and believe me I have been waiting for this to come back out again since mine ran out in February LOL.

I first discovered Snow fairy last year while treating myself to yet another Lush haul and it was my first shower gel that I have tried from Lush and I can honestly say it did not disappoint me at all. This shower gel comes in a variety of sizes such as a travel size and a massive 1 litre which would last absolutely ages but my husband would probably use it In a week as he enjoys a shower.

The bottle is just fab and looks really nice with its simple yet very effective design with its bright pink label and the fun writing of snow fairy. I love how bright and sparkly this shower gel looks and is one of the biggest reasons I bought it apart from the fact the label saying it smells like candy floss.

lush shower gel snow fairy
When Christmas was over last year I was more upset that lush discontinue it until the following year so you can imagine how happy I was when it came back in the shops. They is so many reasons I love this shower gel and you will find out while reading this post and you will know why I will continue buying this as treat.

I have had Lush Snow Fairy shower gel for just over two weeks now and have used it most days now and for me I only need a small amount to get a lot of lather and to cover my body head to toe, it feels very soft on the skin and when its mixed with water the scent of candy floss is just amazing and just makes me feel amazing. The sparkles aren't to much but the do look nice to add to the festivity of December. I really like the top on the bottle as too much doesn't come out the lid and you get just the right amount in one squeeze which makes me a happy bunny.

I don't use a moisturiser after using this shower gel as I feel that it keeps my skin feeling soft enough and I don't want to take the sparkles off haha. I could smell snow fairy in my bathroom for 3 hours after my shower and it left a nice smell on my skin for 12 hours.

comes in a variety of sizes and prices between £3.95-£21.50
This product is Vegan
Lush is Cruelty Free
They is also a perfume in this scent

What is your favourite product from the Lush Christmas range?
