Tangle Angel Review

For me a good brush makes a big difference in my morning routine as my hair isn't the easiest to tame with just regular brushes at times as my hair is very thick and wavy and not just that my hair is quite long now too. I find quite a lot of brushes I have tried to tug and pull my hair to much so I decided to try something else to help tame my out of control hair and help me have gorgeous locks and that's where this brush comes in.

I decided to look for a new brush as I like to have a different variety of brushes and I do have the Tangle teezer who is a lot of beauty bloggers favourites but for me it did have a few downfalls which is a big reason I got this brush. I decided I needed a good strong and long lasting everyday brush so I decided to look in good old Glasgow town and after looking through superdrug and boots I decided to go to TK MAXX to see what choices they had in their and low and behold they was this beauty of a brush called the Tangle Angel. I am so glad I bought this brush because its been on my wish list for a while since I seen it on QVC.

Tangle Angel Review

First things first! how gorgeous does this brush look? I think it looks fabulous and the great thing it comes in a variety of colours too but I chose black as I look gothic looking stuff.

I have had this brush since August now and its became one of my most used brushes now as the handle is easy to hold and its easy to brush my frizzy and wavy hair without much effort at all, the bristle's don't pull on my hair which is fabulous as I want as little damage on my hair as possible. This brush can also be used while styling hair while blow drying as the bristles are heat resistant. Another thing I love about this brush is that it has antibacterial additives which helps reduce the number of bacteria on your brush.

What I love about this brush
- This brush can stand up on a dressing table = I keep mine on my dressing table and I think it looks just gorgeous
- Its easy to clean = its easy to clean compared to so many brushes I have this I just grab and all hair on brush comes out.
- Its antibacterial = I am a super clean person so knowing my brush has the same mind set as me makes me happy.
- Easy to brush tangled hair =  I have had many a hairbrush disaster with brushes getting stuck in my hair but this one is brilliant gliding thankfully.

What is your favourite brush?

October Beauty Favourites

October beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
With it now nearly November, Autumn is now in full swing with the trees loosing their leaves and the weather getting colder so we all need our heaters on. Its hard to believe that is only 2 months until Christmas and 2016! this year has just been so quick.

My October beauty favourites are very much inspired by Autumn as you can tell by my choices chosen in the above picture and I would say I chose them as they are perfect matching the autumn and winter months and not only that they are perfect for Halloween too.

October beauty favourites
I love a bright blusher as its a bit daring and for me they look so much better in the colder months as it goes very well with winter shade lipsticks and eye shadows. This blusher is a bright magenta shade in a matte finish. This goes very well on its own or with a highlight, my favourite highlighter is the baked highlighters from Makeup revolution.

This is the first ever premium foundation that I have tried and its still my ultimate favourite as it has full coverage and it matches my skin tone perfectly which is light-medium skin with golden undertones. I know this foundation sounds a bit on the expensive side but this is very long lasting and I have had mine for just over a year now and I still have some left.

October beauty favourites
I just love all the gelly nail paints from Barry M but Black Cherry has to be my favourite at the moment as its such a gorgeous shade of a dark red so its perfect for Halloween and the autumn winter months alike. This nail paint needs 2 applications to look super beautiful and is long lasting and lasted 3 days before chipping.
I have been wanting to try Jeffree Star lipsticks for a while now but they are a little bit on the expensive side so I am saving up for them so I decided to get the next best thing for now and its the velvet lip lacquers from makeup revolution. My favourite at the moment is Black Heart as its quite daring and looks perfect as you guessed it for Halloween.

I just love my real techniques contour brush and  I use it to apply my blushes and also my bronzers and my highlighters too. I have tried many brushes but for me this brush applies the right amount of product to complete the makeup looks I am after. Its just a shame they don't sell these seperatly as I would love to have one of these as a spare brush.

Barry M Loudmouth Lipsticks

barry m loudmouth lipsticks review
Hi Lovelies
Lipsticks are my favourite makeup product and I can honestly say I lost count of lipsticks I now have. Even I have loads I can't resist treating myself to more as they make such a difference to the makeup looks I try and achieve.
Barry M Loud mouth lipsticks are extremely pigmented with the most intense colour coverage I have seen on a liquid lipstick. These lipsticks come in 7 shades but I have chosen 2 which I just love and they are called Tease and show off. All off these lipsticks are vegan and the brand Barry M is cruelty free too.
barry m loudmouth lipsticks review
This is a gorgeous shade of red which reminds me of a very classical red which was popular a lot in the 50s which is one of the reasons why I bought this lipsticks. This is a thick but simple to apply lipstick and you don't need to put on much to get complete coverage, I was surprised that they aren't messy to apply as long as you don't apply to much pressure on the tube that is.

Show off is a gorgeous coral shade perfect for all seasons especially the spring and summer months. Just as above its quite simple to use with beautiful coverage. The both of these have  a decent lasting time of 3 hours before another reapplication.

Other shades in the range are as follows
-Diva
-Gossip
-Chatter Box
- Screamer
- Tell tale

The lipsticks are available on the Barry M website or in boots and superdrug stores and their online shops for £3.99 each.

Vegan Berry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

vegan berry breakfast smoothie recipe
Hi Lovelies , In the mornings I like nothing better then to make a healthy option to eat to set me up for the day- well to keep me fuller for longer till at least till lunch time.
For me smoothies are the perfect option as they are so easy to make if you have a selection of fruit and a smoothie maker which are quite easy to find and come in prices everyone can afford. I have the Nutribullet and I have that for over a year now and I cannot fault it at all as it makes the most amazing smoothies effortlessly.
Making combinations together in a smoothie maker is great and eventually you will find a perfect blend that will be a favourite, for smoothies you can use fruits, vegetables, oats and lots of nutritional   stuff too like flaxseed and chia seeds.

B. Sherbet Dip Lipstick Review
Hi Lovelies, As many of my readers know I really love lipsticks but being vegan and cruelty free it can be a bit of a struggle finding vegan options in shops can be a little bit of a task but thankfully the beauty brand B. exclusively from Superdrug, its just that little bit easier for me to treat myself. I went to Superdrug during the summer holidays and I decided to treat myself to this lipstick which is called 'Sherbet Dip' from the sweet collection.

Sherbet Dip - Summer Coral in a Satin Finish.
For me the brighter the lipstick the better and this lipstick really did live up to my expectations as I just love how bright this coral Is on the lips. Applying this was super smooth from the tube and also applying with a lip brush was simple too.
This lipstick has no scent but its super creamy and quite long lasting too, this lasts a good 3 hours before another reapplication and leaves my lips soft after removing too.

B. Flawless Complete Coverage Foundation Review

B. flawless complete coverage foundation
Hi Lovelies
I am always on the search for the 'perfect' Vegan foundation but finding Vegan foundations can be quite a hard task as I can only find a few brands at the moment that offer vegan options such as Barry M, Lily Lolo and of course this brand B. which is available at Superdrug.

B. is a cruelty free and a vegan and vegetarian friendly brand and offer a great range of products from makeup, nail paints, skincare and brushes. I chose this foundation which cost me £9.99 a couple of months while they was an offer on at Superdrug for 3 for 2 so chose this and 2 lipsticks. The foundation I chose is complete coverage in Rose Ivory as I thought it was the one nearest to my skin tone.
B. flawless complete coverage foundation swatch
Cruelty Free
SPF 15
Suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians

Right onto to the review of this foundation! I have used B. Flawless complete coverage  foundation on and off for a few months now and I would say its a utterly fantastic foundation as its easy to apply onto the skin with a foundation brush or a beauty blender and the thickness isn't to over the top and is very easy to blend onto the skin and once onto the skin it gave me complete coverage but not to heavy so for me its a great everyday foundation.

I bought Rose Ivory which is the lightest shade they had on offer and I would say it matches my skin quite nicely and gave my skin a nice complexion without any shine, the foundation claims to last 16 hours but personally I have never worn it that long but it does last me a good 8 hours until I remove my makeup in the evenings.

I have combination skin and some parts of my face have dry patches so I am always a bit wary applying foundations onto my skin in case it makes my skin look quite dry but with this foundation it worked really well and was quite moisturising so my skin looked healthy and glowing. This foundation has no scent at all and did not irritate my sensitive skin, so I am super happy with this foundation and will continue using this and will happy re purchase It again in future as it works really well with my skin.

Makeup Revolution Blushing Hearts Iced Hearts Review

Highlighters are a relatively new product in my makeup box but they have quickly become a favourite of mine as they brighten up my complexion in on quick sweep of my blush brush, I apply highlighter (no not a pen highlighter LOL)  just above my blusher and sometimes under my brows and on the bridge of my nose for a quick sun kissed glow.

As many of you know a lot of my blog has makeup revolution as its one of my favourite ever brands as its affordable, loads to choose from and cruelty free, they also have a few vegan options but they don't claim to be a vegan but they do have a page on their website so you can see what ingredients are suitable for vegans on their own website.
The main reason I bought this Blushing hearts iced hearts is because it has the most beautiful packaging and reminds of another favourite brand of mine too faced which is more premium brand.
This blushing comes in a nice little box and opens and shows an nice heart shaped highlighter which is tripled baked with 3 shades.
Apply this was as simple as my other highlighters and was simple without any fallout thankfully, I wouldn't say it was as pigmented as my other highlighters but it does look good and gives a very nice glow on the skin. I found this worked well and lasted a good 6 hours before fading a bit.

The Vegan Kind October #24

This is The Vegan Kinds 24th which means that this amazing company has been delivering a vegan friendly subscription for 2 whole years! isn't that just amazing? I have been with the vegan kind for nearly 2 years now and I must thanks them as they did help me transition from vegetarian to vegan as they deliver a variety of vegan products from a selection of amazing foods to cruelty free beauty products which showed me its a lot easier to be vegan.
I know not all of my readers are vegan or even vegetarian for that matter but I do suggest these boxes as they give a variety of foods that wouldn't be a norm to get and helps get more selection from foods and even beauty and lifestyle products.
I just love rice crispy squares as they such a perfect yet simple treat to have every now and again. These squares are more divine then normal crispy squares as they have caramel, fudge and Belgium dark chocolate. I have enjoyed these with my husband with a cup of tea and honestly they are truly gorgeous. These are gluten free and are available in Waitrose and on their website.
Almighty Foods Super Raw Botanical Mindful Mylk Chocolate Bar 24g (£2.00)
Raw chocolate is getting more readily available now and the benefits are it is more nutrient dense. This bar is made with creamy cashew, coconut & vanilla mylk chocolate and is sweetened with low GI coconut palm sugar. This bar is available on the brands website.

Fitbites Superfood Balls 35g (£2.49)
I have seen more and more of protein balls In supermarkets as they are a favourite for a workout snack as they contain vitamins, minerals and high antioxidants. These are made with dates which are high in fibre and contain simple sugars which are quickly converted into glucose to use for energy after exercise.

ORGANii Shower Gel 300ml (£5.95)
I love using the most natural shower gels I can find and this shower gel is 100% natural and is sourced by organic suppliers where possible. I got organic Argan shower gel and as we all know the benefits of argan as its rich in vitamin E and is packed with full of fatty acids to help nourish the skin to help keep skin smooth.

Calbee UK Yushoi Lightly Salted Snapea Rice Sticks 21g (£0.55)
These are made with fresh green peas and a perfect alternative to fried crisps as these are made with snappeas and are seasoned with salt to enhance their natural delicious flavour. I shared these with my family and everyone enjoyed them.

This months recipe
Lemon & Thyme Baba Ghanoush from Laura at www.wholeingredient.com - this is a great starter or a snack.
Every month the Vegan Kind have a different recipe card and after 6 months they give you a binder to hold all the recipe cards.

Campaign of the Month

My Top 5 Cruelty Free Lipsticks

top 5 cruelty free lipsticks
 Hi Lovelies
Sometimes it can be a bit of struggle finding  cruelty free or vegan/vegetarians lipstick options can be a struggle. I always use cruelty free options but finding out if they are cruelty free and  suitable for vegetarians or vegans can be a bit of a task but I have found my top 5 favourites below and hope they enjoy them.

My Top Cruelty Free Lipsticks
- B. Cosmetics Tangerine lipstick (RRP £7.99)  = This lipsticks is a gorgeous bright orange lipstick in a nice satin finish which leaves a gorgeous shine. This lipstick has no fragrance and is quite long lasting. The lipstick packaging isn't the most vibrant in the world but the lipstick itself is well worth it for the quality of the product. All B. makeup and skincare is vegan and is available in Superdrug in store and online.
-Makeup Revolution Depraved Lipstick (RRP £1.00) = I am not a 100% sure that this is veggie but by the looks of the ingredients on the website it is, just check before buying to be sure. The brand makeup revolution is cruelty free and has a section on it on their website. Depraved is a gorgeous violet purple which is great for standing out in the crowd. This lipstick is perfect if your on a budget and for the price is very long lasting and for me it lasts a good 3 hours before another reapplication and for £1 that's just fabulous! Makeup Revolution is available online and selected Superdrug stores across the UK.
Lime Crime Countessa Fluoresant (RRP £11.75) = I know they has been a lot of controversy on this brand for a while now but they do claim to be a cruelty free and have vegan options, this lipstick is labelled as vegan on their website.  This lipstick is a very vibrant pink that has the most gorgeous vanilla fragrance. I find this one of my most long lasting lipsticks I have and lasts me a good 4-5 hours before needing a reapplication. Lime Crime is available on their website only.
- B. Sweet Lipstick Sherbet Dip (RRP £7.99) = Another lipstick from B. Cosmetics but I love this lipstick just as equally as the one above! This lipstick was released during spring summer and is in a satin finish and looks very vibrant as the name suggests. This lipstick Is also has no fragrance and is also vegan too.
- Barry M Loud Mouth Show Off ( RRP £3.99) = Barry M beauty products are one of my favourite makeup brands as they are cruelty free and quite a lot of the products they have are actually Vegan too which is just fab. Show Off is a liquid lipstick with intense pigmentation and in this case its a lovely summery coral shade. Loud Mouth have 6 other shades too choose from and are available on the Barry m and Superdrug website and also in some Superdrug stores around the UK.
swatches of cruelty free lipsticks
Here are swatches of the above lipstick in the correct order as above is written.

Tips to find Cruelty Free & Vegan/ Vegetarian Lipsticks
- Check the brands website - They usually tell you in the ingredients if they are veggie or not.
- Email the brand - If you can't find on the cruelty free sign or ingredients if they are veggie or not you can ask the brand which products are suitable.
-Find Cruelty Free Online shops - Usually on these websites they have vegan options on them too and they have a brilliant selection of cruelty free makeup.

Barry M Blue Grape Review

Barry M Blue Grape Review
Hi Lovelies
Barry M have been a favourite of mine for a while now as they make a stand on being cruelty free on their website and have clear suitable for vegans on their products too which is very easy to find on each product, I wish more companies were like Barry M it would make cosmetics shopping that so much easier. Hopefully one day all makeup with be cruelty free.

£3.99
Vegan
Cruelty Free

I just love vibrant and stand out from the crowd shades so Blue Grape just seemed perfect for me as its a gorgeous bright blue which is a bit like royal blue. This nail paint is a gelly effect nail paint in which is they is loads of shades  now to choose from. Blue Grape is very shiny and super glossy on the nails and has a nice shimmer in sunlight. Applying this nail paint is easy as usual as the other Barry M nail paints and took 2 coats to get an even and opaque finish but it dried very quickly, I think it was roughly 2 minutes which is so much faster then it would be getting gel nails and a fraction of the price too.

I am a big fan of waffles and when I get a dessert or fancy a treat it always tends to be waffles and ice cream as they taste so amazing and are so warm, the combination is just amazing so that's why I decided to get me and the family a waffle maker so I can make my own waffles.

Me and my family really enjoy waffles and I like to make them for a treat and even sometimes for breakfast too. This recipe is one of my husbands favourites which is blueberry waffles and with the recipe below it will show you how simple it is to make delicious waffles.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette

Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Review
Hi Lovelies
For me brows are very important but finding the right products for my brows has been a tricky task but I do enjoy trying different products that work well for me. I have been meaning to try ultra brow from Makeup Revolution for a few months now but it was sold out every time I was meaning to buy it, so you can imagine how happy I was when I eventually got my hands on this and how eager I was on giving this product a whirl.
At the moment eyebrows are so important in the beauty scene with like celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie with flawless makeup and brows, I am not saying my brows are any where near the standards of the stars but I do want them to look more shaped.

Now I am sure we all know Makeup Revolution are a relatively new makeup company but their popularity has grown with beauty bloggers and beauty addicts and I can see why as they have a wise range of products that are a good quality for an affordable price.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Palette
I bought this for £7.99 recently while shopping in Silverburn Glasgow with my husband as a treat as he knows I like to sort my brows out. I bought this palette in fair to medium as my hair is red and hopefully eventually it will be back blonde by the end of the year so I thought that this palette would be best for me in the long run.
This palette contains 4 blendable eyebrow shadows, 2 tinted eyebrow wax, eyebrow enhancing cream and brow bone highlighter. It also contains mini eyebrow pencil, tweezers and 2 brushes.
Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow Swatches (Top to bottom - brow pencil. top 4 are the shadows, under them is the waxes then its the brows highlighters)

My first impressions of Ultra Brow is how gorgeous the palette looks ,its put together very well with a gorgeous design and the way the shadows are put together with the tools, it looks very nice for the price and could pass for a more expensive product on the way it looks.

The actual shadows are decent quality which was a nice surprise as they applied easily and combined with the highlighter it helps achieve a brow arch which has been  harder for me with other brow products, with this on the other hand its been easy as all the products are in one.

I have no problems with the shadows and so on but for me the mini tools aren't for me as they are far to small to use correctly and I must prefer my real techniques brushes for a more professional finish. The mini tweezers aren't my thing either as with tweezers I prefer a good grip and length to make sure I pluck the right hairs.
Makeup Revolution Ultra brow palette review
The Pros
- Makeup Revolution are Cruelty Free Brand
- Its affordable
-It works really well
-Works as an eyeshadow too
-Nice palette Design
Cons
-Not keen on the mini tools.

Overall I just love this palette and it works very well and it compares quite well to the more premium products I have tried such as Ilamasqua eyebrow cake. For £7.99 I would say its well worth the money for all the product you get.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Brow palette is available on their website and in superdrug shops for £7.99.
