Bourjois Paris Happy Light Matte Serum Primer

Bourjois Paris Happy Light Matte Serum Primer Review
I just love budget makeup from my local boots and one of my favorite brands is Bourjois, I have many things from the brand from lipsticks to eye shadows and a few weeks ago I decided to add more of the brand to my collection and decided to get a primer as I hadn't used one ever and I wanted to see if it actually makes a difference to how my makeup sets and how long my makeup actually stays on throughout the day. I choose the Bourjois Paris Happy Light Matte Serum  as I prefer a  matte finish to my foundation. This cost me £10.99 in my local boots which I did think was a bit steep but I was very optimistic to give it a try.

Summary

  • 2  types to choose from ( Matte and Luminous)
  • Lightweight ( which is great not a fan of anything heavy)
  • Non drying ( which is fantastic you don't want a drying primer under foundation)
  • All Day Comfort ( designed for all day wear)
  • Cruelty free ( Bourjois are a cruelty free brand)
  • Decent price ( at £10.99 its affordable compared to some other brands)

Bourjois Paris Happy Light Matte Serum Primer Review
Finish and Lasting power
Applying this was quite simple and I used my beauty blender to apply to my skin, the scent of this is not over powering and has a nice delicate scent. Applying this took quite a lot of pumps of the primer I think it took about 4-5 pumps to get an ever coverage on my face. The finish of the primer is like a moisturizer and a good base for foundation, Applying foundation over this was no different to applying foundation without the primer so I would agree that It is lightweight. The lasting power of this is very good I must admit and my foundation stay flawless all day without the need to reapply my foundation throughout the day which is an added bonus of this primer.

My verdict
I really do like this primer and it is super long lasting the only slight problems for me is that I only bought this in December and its ran out already and I haven't used it everyday either and the other problem I had with this primer is that after wearing this all day it was a bit drying but apart from that it is a brilliant product and really makes a difference for making makeup last so much longer then it would without wearing this at all.

Have you tried Bourjois Primers yet?

  1. It sounds good but does seem a little pricey - I'll keep an eye out for it in offers though ;) xx

  2. I've never noticed this in Boots before! It's a shame that it was a little drying, I think I'll try it out and see how I find it :) xx
