Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick

Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick
By the looks of this post you would of thought Christmas had started earlier but nope its just one of my many lipsticks in my collection! This is Pinkie which I actually won last year in a competition and have just got round to wearing it. I am not usually a pale pink lipstick fan and its very rare I would buy this but thankfully I won this because I love it.

For me Illamasqua lipsticks are very much a splurge product because they are very expensive at £19.50 each. For this product to win me over it had to do many things one being it had to be fantastic quality another the colour had to 100% on point and why not? that's what you would expect for a product of this price region and trust me I have bought lipsticks in many price regions and this being the highest I would pay.
illamasqua pinkie lipstick review
My first impressions of this lipstick was wow I love the case, as for me the more plainer  a design the better for me ( unless its ysl or jeffree star) The shade Pinkie itself looks very cool light pink shade and the finish is a very glossy satin finish which I loved. I am a big fan of matte lipsticks but having  a nice satin lipstick can be a very nice change. The feel of this on my lips was very soft and looked very vibrant and would look fab with more natural makeup but you know that's what I think looks best for me. I wouldn't say that this lipstick is the most long lasting in the world and lasted me about 2-3 hours depending  which isn't ideal for me really.

Overall I do like this lipstick a lot but I wouldn't say its worth the price tag as I have many other lipsticks in my collection which are way cheaper then this one and last way longer then this one unfortunately. On  the plus side of this lipstick it did make me think a bit more on which lipsticks I want to buy in future and maybe I will be more daring for myself an buy some more pink lipsticks

Illamasqua Pinkie Lipstick is available online and at illamasqua counters throughout the country

Goals for 2015 - Update

Hi Lovelies
I can't believe its nearly Christmas and also the end of 2015 and I'm already writing an update! I really think 2015 went by too fast, probably the fastest one I can remember. I almost forgot what my goals where for 2015 until I recently checked the post I wrote last year, I must admit I did not complete most of my goals but I did achieve other things which evens things out for me.

My Goals for 2015 were as follows

Schedule blog posts - This one was a bit of a hit and miss for me as I did have a few times this year where I actually did manage to post everyday but also they was other times that I completely had an irregular posting pattern. This is a goal that I will continue to have for 2016 and hopefully will be able to achieve, the dream is to post everyday in 2016.

Learn Arabic - I totally failed at this one to be honest, I know very little Arabic and I don't think I have even learnt anything new from 2014, I probably only know how to pray and simple things like the Arabic alphabet. I am a little disappointed with that but on the other hand I am happy with my learning of the Quran.

Complete my Makeup Artistity course -  I failed this one but not because I was rubbish at it or anything like that, its because I would rather be something else in life which I am currently working on and will share with you all later on. I am very happy with the way I apply my own makeup and my fab makeup collection I just don't think being a makeup artist is the job for me.

More Charity work -  I wouldn't say I did more charity work this year but I think I did a pretty good job in 2015 with giving to charity. Charity has always been important to me and every year I will continue to give and do as much as possible for people in need.

Be more confident -  Being confident is one the biggest thing I wanted to do in 2015 and I wouldn't say I'm the most confident person in the world but I have came a long way since the end of 2014 and hopefully through time my confidence will continue to get better and better.

Visit my dads side of family - unfortunately this is a goal I didn't do as they is so many reasons why such as its so far from where I live and its very expensive to travel for me with my 3 children and my husband at the moment too. Hopefully one day when my dad decides to talk to me.

Save money -  I think this one has went very well and we are very well onto our way of buying our own house. I am so looking forward to having my own house instead of paying rent and not being able to design the house the way I would like.

Lose weight -  I gained a lot of weight this year that I am not even going to write down how much I have gained because sharing it is not going to do anything. I am not even upset about it to be honest as I know I will loose it eventually through time. I am happy with the way I am at the moment and will continue to be regardless of what the scales say.

Did you achieve your goals for 2015?

Illamasqua Stagnate Nail Varnish Review

Illamasqua Stagnate
Hi Lovelies
I love blogging but at the moment I haven't blogged as much as I would like to as I have been sorting things out for Christmas with my family, so that has took so much of my time up as well as my usual mummy duties. I hopefully soon I would be able to find more time to post more as I just love it. Anyways lets get onto my nail polish that I am wearing this week which is illamasqua stagnate which is something that I have had in my makeup drawer for a while but just got round to using.

Stagnate Is a nail varnish I bought ages ago that I can't exactly remember when! I love the names of illamasqua nail varnishes and this name is just great as it matches its shade very well which is a grey mauve shade. I personally don't wearing wear dull nail varnishes as I like a bright nail varnish look but I decided for a nice subtle change this week.

Illamasqua Stagnate Review

Stagnate is a grey mauve shade in a glossy finish and this cost me £14.50 for a 15ml nail varnish. I know that the price is a little bit steep for a nail varnish but I fancied treating myself at the time and I really wanted to see what Illamasqua nail varnishes where like as I had never tried them ever before so I thought why not!

I really love the design of this bottle, I know it may looks super simple but for me simpler looking beauty items looks so much nice (unless its mac, jeffree star or limecrime :D) The brush is not much different from the Barry m nail varnish brushes so its a good size. It took 2 coats to get an even finish with this nail varnish to get an opaque look. It looks a little bit different from what it looks like on the Illamasqua website but I still love the way it looks and matches perfectly with the winter weather. I have worn stagnate for just under a week now and its only just started to chip so its a good long lasting nail varnish. The finish is just gorgeous and I was surprised how glossy it looked, the glossiness lasted just as long as the nail varnish and I didn't feel the need to add a top coat to this because it looked good enough without it.

I really love Ilamasqua but I do think this product is a little overpriced seeing as Barry M nail paints are the same quality and cost so much less then this. Saying that I would buy more Illamasqua nail varnishes if they are on sale as the are fabulous.

Have your tried Illamasqua Nail Varnishes before?

November Beauty Favourites

November Beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
I just can't believe its now December and it wont be long till the big day that we all look forward to every year.. Christmas! I was so excited and carried away about it being December I almost forgot to share with you all my Vegan November Beauty Favourites

For me they was no competition picking my November beauty favourites as I used them all and they made me super happy with their results. Below is my favourites

Out of all my foundations this is one foundation I usually used in November and the reasons being is its so easy to blend and gives fabulous coverage. I love how long this foundation lasts and I don't worry about it all day as I know it will look just as fab at the end of the day. Another great thing about this foundation is that it has no scent so it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin.

I just love all of my makeup brushes as they allow me to create a variety of different looks and with this brush its no different. I love the design of this brush with its pink handle and its blue and purple bristle, its very soft and applies concealer and highlighter perfectly and looks very even. This brush is a concealer brush but Septrum has many brushes available and I am tempted to add more of them to my collection and best thing about them is that they are cruelty free and Vegan.

During the winter lip balms are a must for me to keep my lips feeling soft and healthy, hurraw is a raw vanilla lip balm which leaves my lips very soft and has a very nice scent which thankfully isn't overpowering and doesn't smell cheap either which is just fab because I have found a lot of lip balms do tend to have a not very nice fake smell but this one is very pleasant.

No matter the time of year a highlighter in my makeup regime is very important as I just love how they brighten up my complexion next to either a blusher or bronzer. I have a few highlighters in my makeup drawer but this one was my favourite last month as I mostly wore bronzers and I really think that this makeup revolution highlighter really compliments a bronzer to give a pretty good contoured look every time.

Illamasqua stagnate has been sitting in my nail polish box for nearly a year because I was really unsure it I would suit it or not but last week I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did because its such a gorgeous grey mauve shade for the autumn winter. I wore this for my husbands birthday and I just loved it, I wore it for 3 days and just before I removed it, it hardly had any chips so its quite a good long lasting nail paint.

As soon as this was back in Lush I just had to have it as its got the most gorgeous sweet candy floss smell, I just love it. My husband really loves the smell of this too and he says it reminds him of Christmas baking. I really hope to get a few bottles of snow fairy in the lush sale on boxing day! bring on boxing day I say.

What are your November Beauty favourites?

Lush Snow Fairy Shower Gel

lush snow fairy shower gel
Hi Lovelies
Its been a while since I last posted but I'm back to blogging now after mini break. Its finally that time of the year - December so I am counting down the days till Christmas, we are all going to be visiting my family which we are all looking forward too. Anyways lets get to what this post is about and its Snow Fairy shower gel from the Lush Christmas range and believe me I have been waiting for this to come back out again since mine ran out in February LOL.

I first discovered Snow fairy last year while treating myself to yet another Lush haul and it was my first shower gel that I have tried from Lush and I can honestly say it did not disappoint me at all. This shower gel comes in a variety of sizes such as a travel size and a massive 1 litre which would last absolutely ages but my husband would probably use it In a week as he enjoys a shower.

The bottle is just fab and looks really nice with its simple yet very effective design with its bright pink label and the fun writing of snow fairy. I love how bright and sparkly this shower gel looks and is one of the biggest reasons I bought it apart from the fact the label saying it smells like candy floss.

lush shower gel snow fairy
When Christmas was over last year I was more upset that lush discontinue it until the following year so you can imagine how happy I was when it came back in the shops. They is so many reasons I love this shower gel and you will find out while reading this post and you will know why I will continue buying this as treat.

I have had Lush Snow Fairy shower gel for just over two weeks now and have used it most days now and for me I only need a small amount to get a lot of lather and to cover my body head to toe, it feels very soft on the skin and when its mixed with water the scent of candy floss is just amazing and just makes me feel amazing. The sparkles aren't to much but the do look nice to add to the festivity of December. I really like the top on the bottle as too much doesn't come out the lid and you get just the right amount in one squeeze which makes me a happy bunny.

I don't use a moisturiser after using this shower gel as I feel that it keeps my skin feeling soft enough and I don't want to take the sparkles off haha. I could smell snow fairy in my bathroom for 3 hours after my shower and it left a nice smell on my skin for 12 hours.

comes in a variety of sizes and prices between £3.95-£21.50
This product is Vegan
Lush is Cruelty Free
They is also a perfume in this scent

Lush Yog Nog Bath Bomb Review

lush yog nog bath bomb review
 Hi Lovelies
As you all know Lush now have a Christmas range and I just had to treat myself to some of their products in my latest lush haul. Yog Nog was the first thing I put in my basket as I think it looks simple yet fabulous with its Christmas design and the name sounds very quirky too.

Yog Nog is part of Lush's Christmas range and cost me £3.95, it has a very sweet festive design on it with the combination of yellow and white which reminds me a bit of egg  or peaches and yogurt. The smell is very sweet kind of reminds of sweet toffee.

lush yog nog bath bomb review
I always put my lush bath products in to the bath when the bath is almost half full so it has plenty of time to fully dissolve in the bath and that's exactly what I did with yog nog. As soon as I put this in  the bath it almost instantly made the whole bath go bright yellow with a little bit of white which reminds me a big like bananas for some reason and once it got to the middle it had 3 bright yellow toffee looking pieces which felt soft and think they are for extra softness on skin. The smell of this in the bath was just divine and as soon as it hit the water the smell was just divine and so relaxing, the smell is a combination of clove bud oil, shea butter, ylang ylang and soya milk powder

Yog Nog has some lovely little sparkles that just add to festiveness of Christmas and I personally found this so soft on my skin and I didn't even bother using moisturiser after my bath as this left my skin feeling softer then I expected.

I made a small video on Yog Nog
I am on youtube at www.youtube.com/melissazia

The Vegan Kind Beauty Box

The Vegan Kind Beauty box
Hi Lovelies
As you all know my blog is based on everything cruelty free with mostly vegan products and I used to love getting beauty boxes but I had to stop ordering beauty boxes as most stuff in the boxes were not cruelty free never mind vegan. I was so glad when the vegan kind introduced a beauty box as I really love trying new beauty products as that way I find some amazing products that I normally wouldn't of tried .

As much as I love coconut oil I must admit I have so much of it already but this will be used eventually! I usually use coconut oil on my husbands and my hair as a  weekly treat and I think it works wonders on keeping my hair softer and the smell of coconuts is so gorgeous. Coconut oil can used for many things such as cooking and as a moisturiser.

2 years ago I don't think I had any makeup brushes at all and now I have about 20 and I can honestly say I want more brushes so I am happy to add this gorgeous vibrant brush to my collection. I just love the design of this brush with its pink handle and its blend of blue and purple brush. I am looking forward to using this.

I don't normally wear lipgloss but I do on occasions on top of my lipsticks to make them stand out more such as Christmas time or birthdays but apart from that they stay in my makeup drawer. I love the packaging and bottle design of this lip shine and its a lot bigger then other lip glosses so its good value for money.

Now you can never have too much hand cream and I am firm believer of that as I have quite a collection of them so getting this made me happy and I now carry with me everywhere I go. This hand cream smells gorgeous and very natural and the fact its a 3 in 1 cream makes a big winner in my books.

I really don't like complain but I can't help it when I get samples of shampoo I kind of expect the conditioner to try with it so I can see if I like the combination otherwise it kind of puts me off buying the product. The good thing about this though is that it smells nice and they have many cruelty free  hair products in their range.

Vegan Button Mirror
One of my favourite things in the box is the cute mirror! I love the design and it can fit easily in my handbag so while I am out and about I can share a positive vegan message.

This box has to be my favourite beauty box I have ever bought as everything is fabulous and everything will be used including the sample shampoo (My husband loves it) so its money well spent so I defiantly continue buying this box for cruelty free and vegan makeup. This months charity is Dr Hadwen Trust which is a non-animal medical research charity.

The beauty box is £15 not including P&P for every 3 months so every year they is 4 boxes to try.
Available at www.thevegankind.com

Lush Christmas Haul

lush christmas
 Hi Everyone
I am a big Lush addict and I usually go once a week to treat myself but surprisingly for me I haven't been since my last lush haul in August which I got 3 gorgeous bath treats. I decided I needed to go back to lush this week as the Christmas range looks gorgeous and I need to treat myself more and have a fab lush bath.

The Lush Christmas range looks absolutely gorgeous this year with some favourites such as snow fairy and also some new addictions such as the ones I got below.

lush christmas haul
Snow Fairy is my all time favourite and my families favourite shower gel and when Christmas season at lush comes around this is the first thing that goes into my basket. Snow fairy comes in varies size from 100g to 1kg, I really wanted the 1kg but I hope to get that in the sales.

My sister bought me a candy mountain bubble bar for Christmas last year and I just loved it! I knew she bought me something from lush as all I could smell in the living room was sweet vanilla.

I love the sound of this and I haven't it before either so its a nice treat that I am looking forward to using. This has a fantastic Christmas design and has a scent of clove, shea butter, ylang ylang and soya milk powder.

I just had to have this bubble bar as the bar is on a cinnamon stick and looks perfect. This has so many beautiful gold sparkles and is reusable and has a scent of cinnamon oil, almond oil and orange oil so a very classical winter warmer scents.

Have you tried anything from the Lush Christmas range?

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Swarm

Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Swarm
Now I know the name on this sounds a bit scary side as we all know what come in swarms - wasps and bees or even worse flies especially when we are having an ice cream during the summer!! But thankfully I am not talking about wasps or any other flying bugs I am talking about a fabulous nail varnish that I treated myself too on my birthday which happens to be called swarm.

Illamaqua Swarm is a black glitter nail polish in a clear gloss finish, I bought this as I have hardly any glitter or sparkly nail varnishes and you know you can't have to much sprinkles and glitter in your life. I applied this on top of my silver OPI nail varnish which is called 'turn on the haute light' which I got last year in my birchbox. This took only one coat and the glitter applied quite evenly across my nails and each nail looked like different design which I just love. Another thing that makes me super happy about swarm in that the glitter doesn't feel like grit on my nails, my nails are very smooth now with this on my nails.

This nail paint would suit any nail varnish in my opinion, I am very tempted to try it again with gold or red which I will update this post with. Swarm is available online or at illamasqua counters up and down the country.

With so many cocktails out their a very popular one has to be the 'Bloody Mary', I have always wanted to try It so I decided to make my own version of it to make a 'Virgin Mary instead.  With so many variations online and in books I had some fun making my own variation up and I truly enjoyed it.

Nip + Fab Kale Fix

nip and fab kale fix
I have been so excited to try nip + fab for ages as so many people have been raving about them. I am so lucky to have actually won the new Nip + Fab kale fix set . I just love looking after my skin and finding new products to try and hopefully love is one of my favourite tasks to do in my beauty book.

The Nip + Fab Kale fix set is a new collection which came out not so long ago and has 3 products in the range which are the kale fix moisturiser, Kale fix makeup remover pads and the kale fix clay mask and this collection comes to £35.00 altogether on  their website. I found out from the Nip + Fab website that their products are cruelty free and most products including these ones are actually vegan which is just fabulous.

My View on the products

Kale Fix Makeup Remover pads
Where have these been all my life! these make such a difference to my makeup removal and I can honestly say they made taking my makeup off a breeze and that's saying something because I do tend to wear a lot of makeup and eyeliner. I love the smell of these as they has a nice refreshing smell and removing makeup is almost like a mini pamper session as its so soothing at removing. I wish these pads where a little larger then they would be perfect.

Kale Fix Moisturiser
The pump on my moisturiser wasn't working so after I opened it, the problem seemed to solve itself on this thankfully. Me and my husband use this every even  before bed as we both love the smell of this product and yes you have guessed it, it smells like the makeup remover pads. A little bit goes a long with this cream and I needed 3 pea sized amounts for full face coverage and neck and once on the skin it just sinks into the skin easily without any greasy feeling.

Kale Fix Clay Mask
I just love a clay mask as a weekly treat for me and my husband and we actually couldn't wait to use this mask. This mask is a lot thinner then other masks you would find on the market but I had high hopes and I am glad I did. We left it on our faces for 15 minutes ( the recommended time) and washed it off with warm water and I did notice my skin felt a little bit softer and had boosted my complexion which I loved too.

Would I repurchase ?
I just love all 3 of the products and I am super duper happy to have discovered this brilliant brand, I am looking forward to try more of their products from their skincare range.

Autymn/Winter Skincare Favourites

winter skincare favourites

Hi Flamingos
For me skincare is a very important part of my routine all year round but in the Autumn and Winter months I do tend to take my skincare regime for seriously for quite a few reasons. Reason one is the awful weather is just naff to be honest and taking care  of my skin helps me relax and feel pampered. Reason two is for some reason my skin gets drier in the colder months so I like to take that little bit extra care of it. Below I have posted my favorite products and a few extra things that help keep my skin looking fabulous all year round.

Superdrug Vitamin E Cream
This cream has to be one of my favorite face moisturizers and even though is one of the cheapest choice on the market its as good as a more expensive cream in my opinion as it keeps my skin smooth all year round and autumn and winter are no exception. The cream itself is non greasy and soaks into the skin quickly too which is fabulous for when your in a rush in the mornings like I usually am as a mum of 3.

Soap & Glory Heal Genius
I just can't get enough of this cream as keeps my feet smelling like peppermint and of course very smooth. I have used this for a while now every night and since I started using this my feet have had a lot less dry skin and less need for me to use my ped egg on my feet. I walk a lot as I don't drive so a good foot cream is a must for me.

Nip + Fab Kale Fix Clay Mask
I don't always use a face mask but I tend to use them more in the colder months as the colder elements on my face can make an impact on my skin so for a treat I use this mask twice a week. Nip + Fab Kale fix mask is a gorgeous treat and I simply apply it to my skin like a moisturizer and leave it on my skin for 15 minutes and wash it off with warm water and dry with a hand towel and after my skin feels very soft and I almost look like I have a glow.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula
All year round I like to use a moisturiser but during the colder months I tend to go for this cocoa butter because this formula is a lot thicker then other body moisturisers I have and I think its soaks better in the skin in the colder months. I use this every evening to help keep my skin feeling soft and to help reduce my stretchmark's which it does a fabulous job at.

Soap & Glory Hand Food
This is the one cream that I carry around with me everywhere! my hands are something that are super important to me and I like to keep them in tip top condition and hand food is just perfect for that as it smells like marshmallows and shea butter and keeps my hands soft all year round. I used to get dry hands in the winter but no more now as I have used this for years and that has become a thing of the past thankfully.

Neve Cosmetics Makeup Delight Review

neve cosmetics makeup delight
 Hi Flamingos
I am a massive fan of eye shadow palettes and apart from lipsticks they one of my most collected makeup items as I just love having a choice of eye shadows for a variety of different makeup looks especially during the holiday season. I was extremely lucking because I have wanted to try this palette for a while that I actually won a Neve Cosmetics Makeup Delight palette from the fabulous and one of my favourite bloggers The Vegan Taff

Neve Cosmetics is a relatively new brand to me and discovered the brand last year on a cruelty free makeup website. They sell a variety of makeup products including this palette and makeup brushes. This brand is cruelty free and has vegetarian and vegan options on their products  another great thing is their products don't contain parbens, silicones, petroleum derivatives and best thing of all its cruelty free.

RRP £21.95
Made in Italy
Cruelty Free
Vegan

When I got makeup delight I was surprised how big the palette was and how big the eye shadows are too compared the other eye shadow palettes I have as each shadows in this palette are 3.6cm. They are very soft but compact and apply easily onto a makeup brush without much fallout and for an even application on my eyelids I use a primer and these glide on effortlessly and most of all they blend well too with other shades in the palette. The shadows are a mixture of shimmers, opaque and a satin finish.

I love the variety of shades in this palette so for me personally I have used it for everyday makeup to going out makeup and not just that I have used taco 12 and biker chic on my brows to define my brows and that works wonderfully well too.

Here's a swatch of the shadows and their names and of course their ingredients too.

Ingredients: Mica, Talc, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Caprylyl Glycol, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate. May contain (+/-): CI 77891, CI 77499, CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 16035, CI 77510, CI 15850, Tin Oxide, CI 77288, CI 77289, CI 42090, CI 45410, CI 77742, CI 77007.

I am super pleased to have had the chance to actually try this palette and I do love it and I am sure it will be used regular in my makeup routines as its so versatile. Now that I have tried the brand Neve Cosmetics I am looking forward to try more stuff from the brand later on.

Have you tried makeup from Neve Cosmetics before?

Lush Frozen Review

Lush frozen bath bomb review
Should I just let it go? haha sorry just had to say that as obviously the name of this bath bomb reminds me of the film Frozen. This version of Frozen just reminds a lot of another product from Lush 'Big Blue' which is a gorgeous blue colour and smells divine so I thought I would give this one a try.

Lush is one of my favourite shops and I do love to spoil myself here every now and again and 'Frozen' was one of my choices and it cost £3.95, I know it seems steep for something you can use just once but for me lush products are worth every penny as they are the perfect products to treat yourself and help you relax.
Lush frozen bath bomb review
Frozen is a blend of  bright blue and a pastel blue and has a gorgeous smell of grapefruit oil, rose oil and neroli oil. When I 'Let it Go' it just fizzed straight away and melted into a gorgeous aqua blue colour and when the white melted the middle burst into a white colour and this process reminded me a lot of clouds in the sky and if that wasn't enough they was loads and I mean loads of little sparkles that looked like pearl . As for the smell I can say as soon as I put this in the bath they was a beautiful smell that made my whole bathroom smell like roses and grapefruit.

When I was in the bath I enjoyed It so much that I didn't even want to get out as it was so relaxing. Eventually after getting out the bath and drying my skin I still smelled like the product which was a big bonus for me as I like to smell like lush for at least a day.

The only slight problem I have with this is all the sparkles stayed on the bottom of my bath tub and I needed to clean my bath to remove it but on the plus side my plug Is now sparkly which looks fab.

Tangle Angel Review

For me a good brush makes a big difference in my morning routine as my hair isn't the easiest to tame with just regular brushes at times as my hair is very thick and wavy and not just that my hair is quite long now too. I find quite a lot of brushes I have tried to tug and pull my hair to much so I decided to try something else to help tame my out of control hair and help me have gorgeous locks and that's where this brush comes in.

I decided to look for a new brush as I like to have a different variety of brushes and I do have the Tangle teezer who is a lot of beauty bloggers favourites but for me it did have a few downfalls which is a big reason I got this brush. I decided I needed a good strong and long lasting everyday brush so I decided to look in good old Glasgow town and after looking through superdrug and boots I decided to go to TK MAXX to see what choices they had in their and low and behold they was this beauty of a brush called the Tangle Angel. I am so glad I bought this brush because its been on my wish list for a while since I seen it on QVC.

Tangle Angel Review

First things first! how gorgeous does this brush look? I think it looks fabulous and the great thing it comes in a variety of colours too but I chose black as I look gothic looking stuff.

I have had this brush since August now and its became one of my most used brushes now as the handle is easy to hold and its easy to brush my frizzy and wavy hair without much effort at all, the bristle's don't pull on my hair which is fabulous as I want as little damage on my hair as possible. This brush can also be used while styling hair while blow drying as the bristles are heat resistant. Another thing I love about this brush is that it has antibacterial additives which helps reduce the number of bacteria on your brush.

What I love about this brush
- This brush can stand up on a dressing table = I keep mine on my dressing table and I think it looks just gorgeous
- Its easy to clean = its easy to clean compared to so many brushes I have this I just grab and all hair on brush comes out.
- Its antibacterial = I am a super clean person so knowing my brush has the same mind set as me makes me happy.
- Easy to brush tangled hair =  I have had many a hairbrush disaster with brushes getting stuck in my hair but this one is brilliant gliding thankfully.

October Beauty Favourites

October beauty favourites
Hi Lovelies
With it now nearly November, Autumn is now in full swing with the trees loosing their leaves and the weather getting colder so we all need our heaters on. Its hard to believe that is only 2 months until Christmas and 2016! this year has just been so quick.

My October beauty favourites are very much inspired by Autumn as you can tell by my choices chosen in the above picture and I would say I chose them as they are perfect matching the autumn and winter months and not only that they are perfect for Halloween too.

October beauty favourites
I love a bright blusher as its a bit daring and for me they look so much better in the colder months as it goes very well with winter shade lipsticks and eye shadows. This blusher is a bright magenta shade in a matte finish. This goes very well on its own or with a highlight, my favourite highlighter is the baked highlighters from Makeup revolution.

This is the first ever premium foundation that I have tried and its still my ultimate favourite as it has full coverage and it matches my skin tone perfectly which is light-medium skin with golden undertones. I know this foundation sounds a bit on the expensive side but this is very long lasting and I have had mine for just over a year now and I still have some left.

October beauty favourites
I just love all the gelly nail paints from Barry M but Black Cherry has to be my favourite at the moment as its such a gorgeous shade of a dark red so its perfect for Halloween and the autumn winter months alike. This nail paint needs 2 applications to look super beautiful and is long lasting and lasted 3 days before chipping.
I have been wanting to try Jeffree Star lipsticks for a while now but they are a little bit on the expensive side so I am saving up for them so I decided to get the next best thing for now and its the velvet lip lacquers from makeup revolution. My favourite at the moment is Black Heart as its quite daring and looks perfect as you guessed it for Halloween.

I just love my real techniques contour brush and  I use it to apply my blushes and also my bronzers and my highlighters too. I have tried many brushes but for me this brush applies the right amount of product to complete the makeup looks I am after. Its just a shame they don't sell these seperatly as I would love to have one of these as a spare brush.

Barry M Loudmouth Lipsticks

barry m loudmouth lipsticks review
Hi Lovelies
Lipsticks are my favourite makeup product and I can honestly say I lost count of lipsticks I now have. Even I have loads I can't resist treating myself to more as they make such a difference to the makeup looks I try and achieve.
Barry M Loud mouth lipsticks are extremely pigmented with the most intense colour coverage I have seen on a liquid lipstick. These lipsticks come in 7 shades but I have chosen 2 which I just love and they are called Tease and show off. All off these lipsticks are vegan and the brand Barry M is cruelty free too.
barry m loudmouth lipsticks review
This is a gorgeous shade of red which reminds me of a very classical red which was popular a lot in the 50s which is one of the reasons why I bought this lipsticks. This is a thick but simple to apply lipstick and you don't need to put on much to get complete coverage, I was surprised that they aren't messy to apply as long as you don't apply to much pressure on the tube that is.

Show off is a gorgeous coral shade perfect for all seasons especially the spring and summer months. Just as above its quite simple to use with beautiful coverage. The both of these have  a decent lasting time of 3 hours before another reapplication.

Other shades in the range are as follows
-Diva
-Gossip
-Chatter Box
- Screamer
- Tell tale

The lipsticks are available on the Barry M website or in boots and superdrug stores and their online shops for £3.99 each.

Vegan Berry Breakfast Smoothie Recipe

vegan berry breakfast smoothie recipe
Hi Lovelies , In the mornings I like nothing better then to make a healthy option to eat to set me up for the day- well to keep me fuller for longer till at least till lunch time.
For me smoothies are the perfect option as they are so easy to make if you have a selection of fruit and a smoothie maker which are quite easy to find and come in prices everyone can afford. I have the Nutribullet and I have that for over a year now and I cannot fault it at all as it makes the most amazing smoothies effortlessly.
Making combinations together in a smoothie maker is great and eventually you will find a perfect blend that will be a favourite, for smoothies you can use fruits, vegetables, oats and lots of nutritional   stuff too like flaxseed and chia seeds.

B. Sherbet Dip Lipstick Review

B. Sherbet Dip Lipstick Review
Hi Lovelies, As many of my readers know I really love lipsticks but being vegan and cruelty free it can be a bit of a struggle finding vegan options in shops can be a little bit of a task but thankfully the beauty brand B. exclusively from Superdrug, its just that little bit easier for me to treat myself. I went to Superdrug during the summer holidays and I decided to treat myself to this lipstick which is called 'Sherbet Dip' from the sweet collection.

Sherbet Dip - Summer Coral in a Satin Finish.
For me the brighter the lipstick the better and this lipstick really did live up to my expectations as I just love how bright this coral Is on the lips. Applying this was super smooth from the tube and also applying with a lip brush was simple too.
This lipstick has no scent but its super creamy and quite long lasting too, this lasts a good 3 hours before another reapplication and leaves my lips soft after removing too.

B. Flawless Complete Coverage Foundation Review

B. flawless complete coverage foundation
Hi Lovelies
I am always on the search for the 'perfect' Vegan foundation but finding Vegan foundations can be quite a hard task as I can only find a few brands at the moment that offer vegan options such as Barry M, Lily Lolo and of course this brand B. which is available at Superdrug.

B. is a cruelty free and a vegan and vegetarian friendly brand and offer a great range of products from makeup, nail paints, skincare and brushes. I chose this foundation which cost me £9.99 a couple of months while they was an offer on at Superdrug for 3 for 2 so chose this and 2 lipsticks. The foundation I chose is complete coverage in Rose Ivory as I thought it was the one nearest to my skin tone.
B. flawless complete coverage foundation swatch
Cruelty Free
SPF 15
Suitable for Vegans & Vegetarians

Right onto to the review of this foundation! I have used B. Flawless complete coverage  foundation on and off for a few months now and I would say its a utterly fantastic foundation as its easy to apply onto the skin with a foundation brush or a beauty blender and the thickness isn't to over the top and is very easy to blend onto the skin and once onto the skin it gave me complete coverage but not to heavy so for me its a great everyday foundation.

I bought Rose Ivory which is the lightest shade they had on offer and I would say it matches my skin quite nicely and gave my skin a nice complexion without any shine, the foundation claims to last 16 hours but personally I have never worn it that long but it does last me a good 8 hours until I remove my makeup in the evenings.

I have combination skin and some parts of my face have dry patches so I am always a bit wary applying foundations onto my skin in case it makes my skin look quite dry but with this foundation it worked really well and was quite moisturising so my skin looked healthy and glowing. This foundation has no scent at all and did not irritate my sensitive skin, so I am super happy with this foundation and will continue using this and will happy re purchase It again in future as it works really well with my skin.
