5 Lipsticks For The Winter

top 5 winter lipsticks
I just love the winter for all the beautiful things such as Christmas and the fireworks on new years day. So I thought it would be a perfect time to make this list of the perfect lipsticks to match the winter weather and get us all ready for the festive celebrations.

With the end of autumn we see a lot of oranges and browns from the trees and to warm up we tend to have one of my favorite things which is a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, not forgetting those days putting out feet up next the heater with a hot chocolate and a warm blanket.

I just find the colours to match the winter months are browns, reds and the brighter shades of purple and bright pink to brighten us up on those days that are foggy and frosty.

With so many lipsticks in my collection which is 40+ all thanks to blogging over the past year. Choosing just 5 was not the easiest task at all but I think the combination below is just perfect for the winter months to brighten it up.
Top 5 winter lipsticks
from bottom to top:
Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick in 111 | £5.49
As soon as I seen this shade I knew it would be perfect for the winter, it reminds me a lot of cranberries and having a matte finish its a longer lasting finish. I think matte lipsticks are perfect winter they look kinda frosty looking so it matches the weather perfectly.

Illamasqua Lipstick in Vampette  | £18.50
This is one of my favorite lipsticks as its the perfect deep berry shade which is very well suited for the winter. Vampette  is a satin finish and looks amazing on its own or can be used with a lip gloss too. The shade itself reminds me a lot like Christmas pudding and leaves when they fall in autumn the shade is just truly divine and almost gothic.

Where would a top 5 wishlist be without a MAC Lipstick? Flat out fabulous is from their retro matte  collection  and is a deep pink, this adds such a beautiful shade of pink that brightens up the complexion and compliments any outfit, not only in  the festive season but for all year round.

Makeup Revolutions Lipstick in Depraved | £1
Where would any list be without a bargain budget buy? and lets be a bit daring here and have a shade that is perfect to brighten up any winters day! Depraved is a bright light purple shade that stands out but in a good way so its perfect for those winter parties or for those days you just want to try something different.

MAC Russian Red Lipstick | £15.50
I am such a big fan of Mac lipsticks I just  had to have two in my winter lipstick selection. Russian Red is a classical blue red matte lipstick which suits every season and red lips are a sign of confidence and it gives me such confidence when I wear it so I think its fabulous. Red has to be the most beautiful shade for parties, meals out to give a festive look effortlessly.

What is your favorite Winter Lipstick?

  4. I only got into wearing darker lips last year & fell in love! I think my favourite has to be the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in No. 2 - a beautiful shade & really moisturising, something my lips need in the colder months! Xx
