Spiced Orange Yankee Candle

spiced orange yankee candle
Autumn is now well under way and Halloween is just around the corner, its been a perfect excuse for me to buy a new Yankee Candle. The Spiced Orange Yankee Candle small Jar | £7.99 is my choice this week and it has been my favorite relaxing candle this week as it has such a delightful spicy scent.

Presented in the traditional Yankee Candle way, with a burnt orange wax colour. Spiced Orange is a beautiful scent with a blend of sunny citrus and ginger, which makes it the perfect Autumn and Winter candle as its a warming scent and reminds me a lot of Christmas baking. Yankee candle has so many candles now its unbelievable, and this scent has to be one of favorites that I have tried yet as it has a very homely and refreshing scent.

The small jar can burn from 25 to 40 hours, I have used this candle for a week now every evening and it still looks like it has been barely used so I definatley think it is worth every penny.

What is your favorite Yankee Candle scent?

China Glaze - Traffic Jam

china glaze traffic jam

china glaze traffic jam

china glaze traffic jam

Since my nail polish collection has grown over the months, all thanks to blogging... I have had a few favorite brands and China Glaze has to be one of them with their vast range of colour's and styles from neon's to sparkles. I have about 10 China Glaze nail polishes and this is on of them and it is called traffic jam.

Traffic Jam is a delicious berry creme which reminds me a lot of a divine raspberry sorbet. This shade is perfect for any occasion whether your going on a shopping trip or going out to dinner. The formula of the nail polish is very easy to apply and even with one coat it looks quite opaque but if you want it to 100% I would recommend two coats and to finish your nails off apply a top coat to help prevent your nails chipping so easily and to make the nails look more glossy.

China Glaze is high performance nail polish which is free from DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde. These nail polishes are made out of china clay which helps strengthen the nails whilst giving you the most beautiful nail colour. China glaze are affordable and you can buy them from Beauty Bay for £6.95, on the website you will have loads to choose from, from the brand.

What is your favorite nail polish shade?

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

Too Faced Chocolate Palette
I have always admired the Too Faced - Chocolate Palette as it looks beautiful and reminds me of the film charlie and the chocolate factory with its really well made palette. Too faced chocolate palette has 16 eye shadows which are inspired by none other then one of my favorite things ... chocolate. It smells so amazing exactly like chocolate. The price sounds a little bit expensive at £45 but if you bought that many eye shadows at lets say MAC it would cost a lot more then this.

Too Faced Chocolate Palette
The palette has 16 shades that are mainly neutral with a mixture of matte and shimmers, everyone of them has amazing colour pay off in my opinion and you can get a fabulous look so much quicker with this palette even without the eye shadow primer.

                                                                  The shades include :
                           Glided Ganache
White Chocolate

Milk Chocolate
Salted Caramel
Black Forest Truffle
Triple Fudge
Marzipan
Semi-Sweet
Strawberry Bon Bon
Candied Violet
Amaretto
Hazelnut
Creme Brulee
Haute Chocolate
Cherry Cordial
Champagne Truffle
These shades sound like a big box of chocolates yummy!!

Too Faced Chocolate Palette Swatches
Too faced are a cruelty free brand and has to be one of my favorite premium brands, they have a great selection of vegan makeup too. I know it sounds expensive but  I would recommend this to everyone as it cruelty free and the shades are perfect for everyday wear.

You can get Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette over at Beauty Bay for £45

Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks

Illamasqua Glamore Lipsticks
I have to admit lipsticks are one of my favorite beauty items and I was so delighted to win my favorite brand of makeup Illamasqua!! I have been entering Dave Lackie competitions for a while now but I never in a million years thought I would of actually won even more so these beautiful lipsticks, argh I am so excited to try these beauties.

Illamasqua is fairly new makeup brand introduced in 2008 and is a British brand. They are quite different compared to a lot of makeup on the market with amazing collections such as Facets and paranormal. I have a few pieces from their collection now as they is so much to choose from such as lipsticks to foundation.

so which lipsticks did I get?

Pinkie is a cool pink in a satin finish, this lipstick and is very much like a frosty light pink. Light pink is not normally my colour but I will try it for sure and match it up to my nails and outfit in future I am sure.

Vampette is a deep berry shade in a satin finish and has a gothic look to it as well. This has to be my favorite out of what I won and have used it once or twice already.

Cherub is a warm coral shade in satin, this lipstick is an everyday shade so is suitable for any occasion and is very adjusted to the autumn.

Naked is a obvious by the name as a naked shade and it also is in a satin shade. Quite a few of us are looking for a nice nude shade and I am really hoping this is perfect!

Starkers is a soft flesh pink and of course you guessed it! it is also a satin finish. This is quite a nude shade as well but this is a bit more pinker then naked. I think this might just be an everyday lipstick for me.

What is your favorite Illamasqua Lipstick?

Illamasqua Nail Polish in Scorn

illamasqua scorn Illamasqua scorn
Illamasqua scorn
 Hi Lovelies !
I am a bit of a nail polish addict and since becoming a blogger my collection seems to be growing so much every week, that I don't get a chance to use them all. That is what happened to Illamsqua's  Scorn. I know its terrible of me to leave this beauty so long but I have so many others that I think I could give a nail salon a run for their money.

Illamasqua is a premium makeup brand which sells a lot of makeup from vintage shades to very vibrant colours in lipsticks to eye shadows and of course nail polishes. They have a nice selection of nail polishes with really quirky names like Scorn and Rampage. They are pretty pricey compared to a lot of nail polishes on the market as these are £14.50 each. I got mine in the Illamasqua Sale last month in which I got this nail polish for a bargain of £7.50.

Illamasqua Scorn is a very Gothic shade which I love as it is a matte black shade. Scorn is perfect for anyone who likes a daring nail polish shade or this can easily be used for Halloween which is coming up in just under 2 weeks.

Scorn is quite a thick nail polish so I would recommend adding this in sections to get an even finish and applying a matte top coat to finish this look off. This shade needed 2 coats to make it completely opaque and for me to be 100% happy with it. I just love the finished look with this nail polish and it does look really professional, the pictures don't do it as much justice as what the nail polish looks like in person. I have worn this a couple of days now and it still hasn't chipped yet and still looks really fresh and new.

My verdict is that for the price its really good and I would recommend it to anyone who loves black nail polishes and loves the Gothic look too. It may be expensive but it really does the job so in my own opinion its worth it to me.

Have you tried Illamasqua Nail polish before?

Sleek i Divine in Storm

sleek palette storm
Hi Lovelies!
I have had this palette for a few months now but have just got round to writing a review about it. Thankfully I took pictures and swatches of the palette when it was brand new as it has been very heavily used since I got it haha! The first palette I ever bought was a Sleek palette as I think they are very good value for money at £8 for 12 eye shadows, as we all know it can cost that and even more for a premium brand.

Sleek i Divine palettes consist of 12 eye shadows which are extremely pigmented, long lasting, mineral based. Storm palette would suit everyone just make your look, look very radiant. This palette is very neutral perfect for a day time look and can be used for a night look too as the shades are very shimmery too. The top shades are very pearly shades while the bottom shades are quite dark and mysterious that can easily be blended with the pearly neutrals above.

The Storm palette is very good for everyday looks and is very easy to blend together as well as some brands can be very ackward. I found that using an eye shadow primer like Makeup revolutions primer, the eye shadow looks even more pigmented and lasts all day without getting dull.

I try my best to find everything on my blog to be cruelty free and I have checked their website to make sure about this and it clearly states that this palette is suitable for people who are vegetarian and vegan and most of all they do not test their brand on animals which is fantastic to know!.

You can buy the Sleek i Divine in Storm Online or in your local Superdrug

What is your favorite palette?

White Rabbit Skincare Coco Loco Lipbalm

white rabbit coco loco

white rabbit coco loco
 Hi beauties!
Its been a few days since I posted as I have been a bit busy as I just got my makeup artist course kit so I got really excited to start it but I am back now ready for more blogging! I know you missed me, I sure missed writing :) today I am reviewing White Rabbit Skincare Coco Loco which is a handmade coconut  lip balm available on Etsy for £4.

Coco Loco is a 100% Natural lip balm made with coconut oil, sweet almond oil, Beeswax, Vitamin E, Coconut fragrance oil and chocolate fragrance oil. The scent is very fresh like a fresh Pina Colada mocktail that you get while on holiday while walking on the beach, which reminds me Its been so long since I have been on holiday, really need to book one for next yet!.

I found this lipbalm perfect to wear on your lips just before applying a matte lipstick as for me it made the lipstick stay on that extra bit longer and makes matte lipsticks easier to apply. Not only good for applying before lipstick its a nice treat for you lips on cold days just to keep your lips moisturized to stop them get chapped and dry.

The Lip balm itself is a really good size and is a lot bigger then the lip balms then you would get in store, so you do get more for product for your money. The tin itself is very sturdy and did no open while I carried it round with me in my handbag, so its perfect to take around with you in your handbag for everyday use.

White Rabbit Skincare is a cruelty free small business and every product is handmade. Not only does White Rabbit Skincare only sell lip balm they also sell a range of skincare products from toners to facial scrubs and you can find out more about White Rabbit Skincare Shop by visiting the link Here!

Until Next Time.

October The Vegan Kind Box #TVK12

the vegan kind October
I have had the vegan kind box now for over half a year  now and I really do love it for bringing new products out every month. Its fantastic for helping finding new vegan products as usually its not the easiest task. The Vegan kind every month donates 10p from every box  to charity and this months charity is Manchester & Cheshire Dog's home you can donate to the cause by visiting their website Here!
These are a perfect combination of raspberries covered in dark chocolate combining two beautiful flavours into one snack, they are fair trade and its dark chocolate so its good for healthier snacking. These sound amazing and its something I love as I am a massive fan of chocolate.
Howdah Onion Bhajis 100g | (£2.39)
Howdah are traditionally made the Indian way with spices and ingredients just like what you would find in Indian cushine. These are free from preservatives and are ethically sourced too.  These look amazing and perfect for sharing so I will be having these with my husband when its his day off.
Angelic Gluten Free Double Chocolate Cookies 125g (RRP £2.60)
I am a massive cookie fan so I am so happy to get these month! I am sure they won't last very long haha. These cookies are gluten free and free from dairy and eggs. These cookies are great for a treat as well as they are only 76 calories a cookie so you can satisfy your chocolate craving guilt free.
Nom Organic Oat Bar 52g (RRP £1.49)
Nom foods are on a mission to make it easier for people to have a healthier snack while on the go with antioxidants and free from dairy and refined sugars these are great alternative to what is on the market. These bars are perfect for a pre and post exercise boost or just an energy boost to help you along with your day. My husband is going to have this at some point next week after he comes back from the gym.
Premae Skincare Triumph Creme Balm 10ml | (RRP £33.66)
Premae is a luxury skincare brand, this balm is packed with antioxidants and vitamins A , C and K with enriched with frankincense. This cream sounds wonderful and will fit nicely into my skincare collection, no idea when to use it as it sounds to lovely to use.

My verdict on the box is that its amazing, with the charity being an amazing cause and this months conents being brilliant too my favorite has to be double chocolate chip cookies. Check out my thoughts on the September box Here!

October Wishlist

Hi Lovelies!
Its now October one of my favorite times of year... its Halloween. I love the makeup and fashion that is out this month so I tend to stock up of the spooky items seeing as you can't get them at other times of the years. So lets get the wishlist started...

Ever since I tried Flat out Fabulous and Russian Red the desire to have more mac lipsticks has grown but the one I have been wanting lately is the gorgeous pure violet shade, its so vibrant and one of my favorite colours that I just have to have it! its just a shame its out of stock at the moment.

As soon as I looked up Halloween items on ASOS this just stuck out for me as I love the colour combination and of course the Halloween collection, if they weren't sold out I would of bought them already, hopefully they will come back in stock.

I just love the vibrant colour of this jacket and the shape of the jacket is so classy that it would go with so many outfits and fit my curves perfectly, so hopefully I should be getting this soon to add to my winter wardrobe.

I have a few Makeup Revolution palettes and I can say that that I love each one as they are so vibrant and the colours run true to what you see online. Give them nightmares has such great shades for everyday looks for me and of course night time looks too.

What is on your October Wishlist?

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Chilli

Barry M Chilli cruelty free
barry m chilli
Well we are well into Autumn now as the weather has shown us with all the wind and rain and most of all the cold, but lets not let that get in our way! we are fabulous no matter what the weather is like outside . For a pick me up I decicded to treat myelf with a new nail polish or two so I chose the new collection from Barry M Autumn gelly collection and I just had to pick up Chilli and Mustard, I know they just sound amazing and the names sound fun.

Chilli is like a smokey red very much like chilli powder or dried chillis which I just love as it is so Autumn looking! This polish is quite easy to apply even though it is a bit thicker then most nail polishes on the market. The colour is perfect with only just two coats and I didn't feel the need for a top coat over this as it was shiny and beautiful the way it was so I just let the nails look amazing on their own.

I just love how long this nail polish lasted before it chipped which was 4 days, so this is perfect if you want a long lasting nail polish. You can pick one up in store or online superdrug this is  for a affordable price of £3.99 Here! If you spend £7 or more now in superdrug you also get a free showgirl mascara.

What do you think of Barry M Chilli ?

Sugar Skull Makeup

sugar skull makeup man
sugar skull makeup for men
Hey Lovelies and here we are again another Halloween Makeup Look following my last look which was Pinup Zombie. This look is on my amazing husband Zed and he will be in a few makeup looks in future too! he is a diamond for sitting still and enduring new looks haha. Sugar skull is a great look for men and women during Halloween and I just added a masculine twist to this look.

Base :
Blending these together to get a skull effect with a bit of shadowing.

Eyes :
Get the basic eye socket shape with blender eyeshadow brush to get the more defining areas to create more of the socket effect I used an eyebrow brush to get a curve.
After this I blended Gleam over the top of the centre of the lids to give the eyes more of a glistening effect.

Face Art :

Barry M Liquid Eyeliner
One the corner of the eye socket that has been shaded in with the eye shadow, put two flicks on the sides to create a eyelash effect.
For the spider web effect on the forehead draw from just above the nose and use your eyeliner up towards the forehead. Once you have a curved triangle, draw curves up towards the head starting from the bottem near your nose.
After you have done your spider web effect fill in near the bottom of the web the eye shadow in Over bored  with a small eye shadow brush to get a more drastic effect, after this get a lip liner brush and just on top of the over bored apply gleam to give the spider web a midnight shimmer.
For the nose use an eyeliner pencil draw a basic triangle shape to get a more natural look follow your natural nose shape.
For the cheeks use your eyeliner to create rough designs of triangles once you have done that apply flicks to each corner just to a simple effective design.

This look took me 20 minutes and is quite simple . For a longer lasting effect apply a makeup setter. Keep an eye out as I have more Halloween inspired makeup so don't forget to follow me on the links below for more :)

Lots of Love

D.I.Y Nail Polish Storage

D.I.Y Nail Polish Storage
Ever since I started blogging blogging, my nail polish collection has grown vastly. I started the year off with only about 5 nail polishes and they were barely worn but now its a whole different story! I have about 60 plus now and I seriously was running out of places to put my nail polishes.

I always wanted to show off my nail polish collection without storing them in boxes so I decided to find a cheap affordable way of showing them off and of course being reachable being near my dressing table. I always like to go to B&M as they is usually a nice bargain in their home department and I was glad to go as I found they had the perfect shelves they were only £3.99 each so I got 2 so I would have enough, they also have these shelves in white also.

Putting these shelves up was very simple all you need is a tape measure, a level and a drill. After making sure the shelves were level it only took 2 screws to drill it to the wall which was simple even for myself to do as I am not usually a D.I.Y person. Once your shelves are up you can add many nail polishes on one shelf and could even add more if needed. These would look amazing at home near your dressing table or in a small salon especially if your on a small budget like myself.

I love Nail Polish! Where do you store your Nail polishes ?

September Favorites

I totally forgot to do last months Favorites post so I reminded myself to do it for this month seeing as I had really beautiful favorites this month. First up is my absolute favorite and maybe of all time haha is the Russian Red from MAC! I had never tried MAC before until this lipstick and I am in love! Its the perfect vintage red and stays floor less for hours on end, Fabulous! Its the start of a big collection of Mac lipsticks o dear.

Makeup Revolution is a brand I just found out about recently and they have been a massive hit with me but this months favorite of theirs is the Golden Lights - Highlighter it is such an amazing product it brightens up my cheek bones and makes my blusher stand out much more then without it, its a win win product.

Up next is LOreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray I have been using it for years as my nana always uses it so I followed in her footsteps and used it myself. This is the most amazing hairspray at keeping vintage and big hairstyles in place all day and most of all its so easy to get out as all you need to do is brush it out.

Barry M has been a favorite nail polish brand of mine for years but over the past year or two they has been so many amazing collections come out and this months favorite nail polish I have chosen is no different Barry M - Chilli , This is such a lovely shade perfect for Autumn and is a very long wearing, I wore this recently and it lasted 5 days without chipping and that was without using a top coat.

I recently got SkinLikes Deodorant  in my September Vegan kind box. I have used this every day as it is so fresh and natural smelling that it had to make it on to my list. SkinLikes is vegan and has no harsh chemicals so its great for sensitive skin and just after shaving armpits.

What did you love in September? Comment with your Favorites!

Bye Bye September

September was an extremely very busy month in my household seeing as my son Dante went back to school and my daughter started at nursery after the long 6 week summer holidays and on top it all off it all they was loads of family birthdays to plan and so on.

1- It was mums dog, Ben's Birthday. Ben is an Airedale terrier and he is like a big teddy bear and it was his 11th birthday. He is such a big softy and has been the most wonderful dog ever so we had a little birthday party for him we bought him bandannas and a new collar and of course my sister made him a cake that was the a replica of him.

2- My son Dante started school again he is now in year 2 and I am sure he has grown over the summer holidays, he was looking forward to seeing his friends again and getting back to learning.

3. Another birthday was my brother Paul, he was 31. My brother Paul lives at home with my mum as he has autism he looks forward to his birthday and mentions it every day from July on wards so we always try our best to make the day super special for him. He collects Badges and has over 5000 so we got him some more and we made him a cake he loved his day.

4. One thing is that is that I accepted myself as beautiful even when I wake up in the morning with no makeup on and my hair all over the place! I feel fabulous and its thanks to RuPaul and watching RuPauls Drag race!!

5. Last up it was my son Dantes Birthday he is 7 and we planned a little party with our family he loved his presents and most of all his batman cake. We are planning to take him to a museum when it is the next school holidays.

What did you do in September?
